Why Polio Eradication in Pakistan is an Unfulfilled Dream

Polio Eradication is a challenge for Pakistan. It is an un fulfilled dream of the beloved Country. Since 1994, the Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme has been fighting to end the crippling poliovirus from the country. Unfortunately, Pakistan has not achieved it's goal due to terrorism, poverty, extremism, backwardness, partiarchal society and taboos and religous bigotry. Although low number of cases have been reported during 2020, Pakistan still has a lot of ground to cover in terms of fixing a number of structural problems in its polio eradication efforts and tackling extremist mindsets that oppose immunisation.
