Nikhil Khanna, a 36-year-old realtor from Pune, died following a domestic altercation with his wife, Renuka Jakhar Khanna, at their residence in Ganga Satellite housing society, Wanwadi. The initial police investigation suggested a nasal fracture due to the quarrel. However, a post-mortem at Sassoon General Hospital indicated head trauma as the cause of death. The conflict reportedly arose from personal grievances, including Renuka's dissatisfaction with their marriage and travel plans. Following a complaint by Nikhil's father, Dr. Pushpraj Khanna, Renuka was arrested and charged under section 302 of the IPC. The couple had a history of domestic disputes since their marriage in 2017. The case remains under investigation by the Wanwadi Police.
