Why do Muslims make sacrifices? Is there any substitute for sacrifice?

Some people say that in memory of the historical incident of Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail in memory of the historical incident of The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), cash should be given to the poor Wamsakin instead of the sacrifice made by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Such things usually come from those who prefer worldly time lying interests over the clear teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith. Here are a few things to say on this occasion:

No decree has been issued by any world body or government to ban sacrifice, nor has COVID -19 epidemic been remotely related to the sacrificial animal. Also, when other things are being done with precautionary measures despite the spread of the COVID -19 epidemic globally, even as millions of animals are being slaughtered daily in thousands of slaughterhouses in the world, why can't Islamic sacrifice be performed? But if ever there is talk of a government banning the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha, we should oppose it by presenting the best example of unity and consensus so that the Sunnah of Ibrahimi can be followed. Since the incident of Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail, sacrificing animals for the sake of Allaah has become special worship. Therefore, the sacrifice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not only prescribed every year for the ummah(community) but it was made an Islamic shaar(habit, custom). This sacrifice of animals in the way of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) under the control of Ibrahim (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will continue till tomorrow.

Allaah has commanded to make a sacrifice in the Qur'an, and the command is generally for the cause of the world. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): Pray for your Lord and sacrifice. In this verse, Allaah has commanded us to make a sacrifice; in Arabic, the section of Amar is usually for the cause of Rajab. Many meanings of Vanhar are taken, but most of all, the word 'King' is to sacrifice. The meaning of sacrifice is written in the translation of The Tarajam Vatfasir, written in the Urdu language. Just as the crop Arabic proves the obligatory prayer of Eid prayer, so van haar proves the obligation of sacrifice. And despite the difficulties of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), it is not proven to sacrifice for a single year since the command of the sacrifice. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to those who did not sacrifice despite the affordability of sacrifice, not even to go near the Eid gah. This type of dispersion occurs only when it is left undue. Therefore, if more than one gentleman can afford a house, then every gentleman should sacrifice. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If a person who has the breadth to make a sacrifice still does not make a sacrifice, then (such a person) should not attend our Eid gah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever sacrifices before Eid prayer will have to make another sacrifice in his place. The sacrifice should be performed after Eid al-Adha by reciting Bismillah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood in the field of Arafat and said: O people! Every year it is important to make a sacrifice for every householder. (Masand Ahmed, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi)

The teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith require that the sacrifice be taken in a big way in the days of sacrifice because the jurisprudence and scholars of all schools agree to be Islamic shares of sacrifice in the light of the Quran and Sunnah and make special arrangements for sacrifice every year. No good deed in the days of sacrifice is dearer and more desirable to Allaah than to shed the blood of sacrifice, as The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: On the 10th of Dial-Hijjah, no good deed is dearer and more desirable to Allaah than to shed the blood of sacrifice, and on the Day of Resurrection the sacrificer will bring the hair, horns, and hoofs of his animal (and these things will cause reward) and the blood of the sacrifice fall to the earth. First, to Allaah, the shroff receives acceptance, so make a sacrifice with joy. (Tirmidhi)

Lastly, there has been repeated urge to help the poor in Shariah Islamia. Rather, Islam is the religion that has taken care of orphans, widows, needy and needy. That is why we must take the lead in helping the poor, as the Muslim brothers set an example by helping the needy and the laborers in the auspicious month of Ramadan.
