WHY DO CELEBERITIES HAVE SMOKE ADDICTION?

Celebrities & Smoking

What could be more exciting than why celebrities in the world choose to smoke at all? Hollywood's sturdy and celebrity status is a mindless world almost entirely based on appearance and imagery. Likewise… We are all affected by Hollywood movie stars, models, and smokers - not at work or otherwise. That means that individual celebrities have a moral obligation for all of us to avoid smoking in their working and private lives is another matter. What could be more interesting than why celebrities in the world choose to smoke at all? Hollywood's sturdy and celebrity status is a mindless world almost entirely based on appearance and imagery. As it is truly amazing to see so many celebrities smoking.

Smoking is not only injurious for us but also Hollywood Stars

Of course, we all know now how much cigarette smoke affects our skin. Or is it that, strangely, celebrities themselves can remain unaware of how smoking affects skin aging, they do not have an army of advisers and consultants to follow them? Surely someone in the inner circle is telling them the results of a recent study - how smoking soothes the skin, destroys vitamin C, damages collagen, accelerates wrinkles, and produces a smoker's old face? It is impossible to believe that the highest paid, news-savvy people with the right intelligence can always be unaware of these important facts. They need to know that smoking will damage their appearance and enhance their appearance prematurely and they choose to continue - all the while spending less money on personal trainers, dietitians, cosmetic surgeons, and anti-aging creams and creams. Is it possible that the stars themselves have been influenced by the glamor of cigarettes? Maybe when you spend enough time in the fun world of film you start believing in a celluloid image.

Examples of Hollywood Stars who are Big Smokers

Gloria Swanson

Like Gloria Swanson ‘on Sunset Boulevard, they have lost contact with reality. After all, it wasn’t long ago that everyone who was someone in Hollywood smoked and was proud of it. Smoking cigarettes was fun and complicated.

Audrey Hepburn

Consider the iconic image of Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s as Holly Golightly - posing elegantly with her long cigarette holder, upswept chignon, and little black dress. What’s less interesting is the way Audrey Hepburn is overcome by the habit of smoking itself. Ignoring his mother's 'advice' of beauty: "keep only six cigarettes a day", Hepburn carried two or three packets at his worst times - he even smoked his Nazarene habit in the 'Sir's Story' and smoked the chain his own way through 'My Fair Lady'. Surprisingly, she suffered from asthma most of her life and died of cancer at the age of only 63, looking weak and old. Not the kind of ending we like to think of for the beautiful Holly Golightly. No doubt this very movie industry has caused many celebrities to adopt the nicotine patch. Smoking is as common in movies today as it was back in the 1950s, although smoking in general (the Western half nonetheless) declined. Could it be that tobacco has become a movie of choice for actors looking for an easy way to stay on the other side of the skin? For some celebrities - tired of the constant criticism and ciggy explosions that pervade every tabloid - a kind of contempt for smoking has crept in. As Gwyneth Paltrow once said, "I smoke and I will not stop!".

Paltrow

Paltrow - famous for receiving a pack of Camel Lights a day at the age of twelve - has recently quit smoking. You probably started to wonder how her beautiful, healthy skin and ethereal beauty would deal with the reduction of collagen in her forties and fifties.

Jennifer Anniston

Some celebrities continue to become addicted to smoking no matter what the consequences - even if it affects their intimate relationship. It is known that smoking was the bone of contention between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston during their marriage. Brad Pitt is on the books, which shows how much he hated smoking with his ex-wife's chain. Her refusal did not lighten the ice with Jennifer anyway - as recent paparazzi photos show. You have to ask why one of the most popular and naturally attractive women would do this to them?

Kate Moss

Similarly, the main model Kate Moss is regularly photographed with her cigarette, lamp, and cellphone as her only one. As a top model, it is probably not surprising that Moss can still look good and beautiful but be photographed - at least for now. He certainly does not show any signs of wanting to quit smoking anytime soon. Probably like many in his world - he associates smoking with a slim body. Or maybe, for him, it’s a minor problem with his addiction.

Example of those Stars who withdrew the habit

Catherine Zeta-Jones

When celebrities choose to give up it's an appeal that the reasons given are usually not based on appearance or health. Catherine Zeta-Jones, for example, quit smoking - so she said - because she did not want her children to start asking questions. Not as you might think - because beauty is his trademark and smoking will start to age the skin and undermine his ability to earn huge sums of money.

Conclusion

Whatever the reason for celebrity smoking or deciding to quit - the truth about skin injuries and smoking is rarely a big part of the debate. Well, maybe it's time to do it. So, some advice for all the famous smokers out there - keep smoking if you want to - but don't expect your changing society to see the effect on your appearance. And when you reach the age of deception (or regrets) you can still say, like Gloria Swanson on 'Sunset Boulevard': "I'm ready for my approach now Mr de Mille" - but only if it is recorded in heavy, technically backed up and re-touched much later.
