Top 6 yoga poses for mind relaxation and stress management

          

Stress is present in everyday life activities, and stress management helps use the proper techniques by which these activities can be handled well .stress is associated with anxiety and depression.

 

1. Standing forward bend

Standing forward bend also known as uttanasana or standing head to knees pose,  intense stretch.

It pays to spend a little extra time in your first few forward bends since your body releases more deeply over a longer hold time. It stretches the hamstrings and calves.

It is common to have tight hamstrings if you run or play a sport that involve lots of running. It is regarded as a relaxing and stress relieving pose. Traditionally, it is said to help relieve insomnia you may need to modify this pose if it is uncomfortable or difficult at first .

Once you have mastered the usual form, set a new goal and work to master a harder technique.

2. Cat cow pose

Cat cow poses aur chakravakasana is a yoga pose that's said to improve posture and balance.

This is ideal for those with back pain the benefits of this synchronised breath movement will also help you relax and ease some of the day's stress. When the heart chakra is balanced one can more easily connect to and feel joy and love compassion. 

To align and balance your heart chakra this pose is too much beneficial. Someone with weak or not so strong wrists and shoulders can avoid the practice of this pose and move to the simpler version of the seated cat-cow pose.

Injury at the shoulders, or any injury to the shoulder should be taken seriously when practicing.

3. Easy pose

 Easy pose or the sukhasana is actually a sitting pose. Easy pose is a hip-opening pose that stretches the knees and ankles. 

sukhasana offers a variety of benefits for people who are pregnant. In addition to opening the hip,s it helps stretch the spine,  increases energy, improves digestion n and betters breathing. 

It strengthens the back and stretches the knees and ankles. It also opens the hips and outer thigh muscles.

Sitting upright with your spine aligned also reduces anxiety. It calms the mind and is known to deal better with stress.

4. Head to knee forward bend

Janu sirsasana, (head to knee pose) is a seated twisting and forward bending asana in diverse schools of modern yoga as exercise. It stretches the shoulder, hamstrings, inguinal region, etc. 

It is helpful in diabetes and relieving constipation. It strengthens the lungs and improves Jatharagni  (digestive fire). It also strengthens and tones the waist, thig, calms the central muscles, reduces stress,s and relieves anxiety and mild depression.

Runners and those who engage in sports that require a lot of  running will often benefit from this good stretch for tight hamstrings.

It is said to help relieve stress and calm your mind. Avoid this pose if you have any back or knee injuries, you should feel a stretch in your muscles, but stop if you feel any pain.

Also, avoid Janu sirsasana asana if you are suffering from diarrhoea or asthma.

5. Bridge pose

Bridge pose also called Setu bandhasana is an inverted back bending asanas in hatha yoga and modern yoga exercise.

Bridge pose opens the chest, heart, and shoulders. It stretches the spine, the back of the neck, the thighs and the hip flexes (front hip joints). ..

Bridge pose also stimulates the abdominal organs and thyroid glands which improves digestion and helps to regulate metabolism.

However, those who have undergone brain back, neck, shoulder or spinal surgery should avoid this posture completely. People with server slipped disc or blood pressure count above 90 diastolic should not attempt this pose.

It is claimed that the bridge pose if done regularly not only calms the mind but also can help reduce your belly fat by keeping your supporting muscle strong.

6. Corpse pose

Corpse pose, also called Shavasana or mrtasana, is an asana in the hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise often used for relaxation at the end of a session.

It is the usual pose for the practice of yoga Nidra meditation. It calms central nervous system, adding the digestive and immune system.

The art of Saravana is harder than it looks. It calms the mind and reduces stress, headache, stress density, and fatigue. It also helps in lower blood pressure promotes spiritual awakening and awareness of higher consciousness. In savasana we strive to quite the chatter in our mind as we remain fully conscious. 

We attempt to eliminate tension from our bodies and our minds. As we lie completely still, we remain fully awake and aware as we relax and surrender completely.
