1. DEFINE SUCCESS
Before you jump to become successful, define what success means to you. Understand that success is a very individual term for each person.
For example, losing weight can be a success; for a jobless person, getting a job could be a success similarly for a poor, being rich is a success and for a married couple, having kids could be a meaningful success.
Thus, before starting a success journey, one needs to know, what is that thing that you are trying to achieve?
If you have clarity on that, half of your work is done.
Now, let's move towards the next half.
2. SET GOALS
Now that you know what does success looks like to you. The next thing you got to do is set your goals.
For example, let's say for me success is going on a Europe trip with my own money; now, that trip merely remains a wish until I give it a timeline.
Thus, my Europe trip becomes a goal when I say I am going on a Europe trip by the end of this year using my own money.
The above statement is closer to setting a goal since it has a deadline that gives clarity.
While it is true that life does not always go by the plan that we make but setting goals helps us remain committed.
3. TAKE ACTION
So, defining Success is done, goal setting is done, what next?
Act.
What most people do is plan everything but never execute anything, and that makes all the difference.
Remember the first law of newton? Also known as the law of inertia.
“A body on this earth will continue to be in the state of rest or motion unless an external force act upon it."
Similarly, our situation in life also remains the same unless we take some action to change them.
Once you have set a goal for yourself, start taking small actions each day and repeating the cycle. The more you do each day, the closer you move to your success.
4. PERSEVERE
Let’s assume that you have defined success, set goals, and started taking action on it, but nothing is happening; what should you do then?
Well, here is when perseverance comes into the picture
in life, it’s never about when do you start that journey towards your goals; it’s always about once you have started your journey how long are you willing to walk that path.
Naturally, there will be times that will disappoint you, break you, and make you feel like quitting, but if you continue your journey, nothing in the world can stop you from reaching where you want to reach.
5. TRY, TRUE, AND TRUST
First is your will to Try. Your success will depend on your three Ts. Keep trying and keep failing, doesn't matter how many times you fall as long as you get up again.
Second, remain TRUE to your words. live up to your commitments towards your goals every single day and
last, TRUST.
Believe that God has promised to deliver you whatever you ask for; there is magical power in belief.
You will be successful.
You have my wishes!
