1 Despite India's first attempt to land a rover on the moon, Chandrayaan 2 is special because, unlike the USA's Apollo and Russia's Luna missions, ISRO will take the rover near the moon's south pole near the critter Manzin C and Simpelius N. 2 According to ISRO, the South Pole of the Moon is an interesting surface area compared to the North Pole which lives in the shadow.  3 It is likely to have water in permanently shaded areas around it, adding craters to the South Pole region, there may be cold traps and early solar system fossil records.
