Smoking at first seems relaxing and helps to reduce stress.A chemical named Nicotine plays the role and causes this relaxement and make the person addicted to it,But later in time that same Nicotine makes your brain Dull and reduces the thinking ability of a person. Moreover, a brown sticky substance called TAR present in ciggrates combines with the cells in the lungs and causes lung cancers which can as well spread to other body parts causing damage to it.In addition to,Smoking produces carbonmonoxide(a highly toxic gas) which can combine with haemoglobin(pigment transporting oxygen in the body) and alter it to produce carboxyhaemoglobin(which is unable to transport oxygen). Thus, reducing oxygen transportation efficency which increases chances of breathlessenes and other related issues e.g:Asthma
Not only this but smoking also causes higher secreation of mucous in the airducts and can possibly block the air pathway. The situation is more worsned by the flattening of the alvolei(a sac where gaseous exchange occurs). These all combines to cause emphesema and breathlessness.
Smoking also has an effect on your environment and the people living with you.It means that your wife, children and parents are effected by passive smoking. This could result in vomiting, headache, breathlessness and coughing e.t.c
Here a question arises; Can a person smoking over a period of time recover and prevent its disorders?
During a recent research, scientists have found that YES a person could possibly recover but the person should strictly avoid smoking and other related practices.According to the scientists, Lungs and Heart have the special ability to recover themselves.Due to this lungs could recover it's self after you quit smoking without any medication needs. This is a blessing and really a good news for smokers. So,quit smoking today and plan for a bright future ahead!
