What is New Education Policy Of India 2020 ?

What is 5+3+3+4 & its effect on 10+2?

Earlier education upto 12 years was done under the state government, but now it will be increased to 15 years. So now let's talk about how it has been done from 12 years to 15 years and what will impact the education of students.

If we calculate 5+3+3+4, we will get 15. it shows now students will study till 15 years under that State Government where the students are living. 5+3+3+4 programs are divided into different stages, which are given below.

Foundation stage: In the first 5 years program is divided into 3 and 2 years. Starting 3 years, students will have to go to school at 3 years of age for playing and learning games activities for development. Play-school students come under it, and no examination policy for these students. After 3 years of schooling, the next 2 years will start education for standards 1 and 2. this is called the foundation stage.

Preparatory Stage: After 5 years program, the next is 3 years program that is the Preparatory stage. It will be included in the study of students from 3 standards to 5. school will focus not only on studying but also on getting activities done. Committee announced that it is to be taught in regional language(or local language), but it is not compulsory for school. Students will have the option to learn either regional or English language. From this program, the examination of students will be started for student evaluation.

Middle Stage: This is also 3 years program, standard 6 to 8 come under this program. In this program, students will be taught computer knowledge (coding), vocational/tec (like plumbing, sewing clothes, etc.), maths, science, arts, etc. Students will have the option to take any Indian language.

Secondary Stage: This program included 4 years of schooling from 9 standards to 12. Students will have the option to choose multiple subjects which they want to study. In Indian education, students choose a stream after 10 standards like Humanity, Commerce, and Science. Now it has been completely abolished . so students can learn any subjects they want. Examination patterns will be based on critical thinking, not descriptive based. Students can also learn any foreign language excepts Mandarin(Chinese language).

         UG & PG COURSES?

There will be no particular course names like B.com, M.com, B.sc, Mba, etc., because there will be multiple subjects options for students. Students can learn some subjects from a different course. Like B.com, students can choose accountancy, biology, psychology, etc.

  Undergraduate courses-:

UG courses will be 4 years. Re-entry in the course will be available; students may drop college after completing each 1 consecutive year in this program and can continue from the next year's completion in a course. In 1st-year completion, students will get a certificate, 2nd year of completion will get a graduate diploma, 3rd year of completion will get a graduation degree, and 4th of completion will get graduation research.

Post-graduation courses-:

Postgraduate courses will be 1 or 2 years. If any student has done 4th years of UG course, he will have to do 1 year of post-graduation; if he has completed  3rd years of graduation, then it is necessary to do 2 years for post-graduation.
