In India, Education policy is formulated by Govt. of India to promote and regulate education. Govt. always try to focus on education for both male and female citizens equally. The first education policy was introduced by PM Indira Gandhi in 1968. The second was introduced by PM Rajiv Gandhi in 1986. And the third and latest by PM Narendra Modi in 2020. The government of India increased the Education budget of GDP will be spent from 3 % to 6%. Ministry of Human Resource and Development is renamed by the Ministry of Education, focus on concepts-based studies, not learning by rote.
