Adults have more than 164 million working hours due to dental diseases or dental attacks. Provide the total amount paid for dental services in 2002 was more than .1 70.1 billion.

American scientists:

"Oral health disease is disrupting communities across the country," explains Drs. Marsha Butler, Colgate-Palmolive Vice President, Global Oral Health and Professional Relations. "For children between the ages of 5 and 17 here in the U.S., tooth decay is more common than asthma, more common than hay fever, and poses a serious threat to the health and well-being of our children."

Recently, during the celebration of National Dental Health Month, Colgate and Drs. Carmona introduced "Seven Steps for American Surgeoners to Smile Smile," developing tips with a grant from Colgate-Palmolive to help keep teeth and gums strong and healthy.

Crunchy fruits and vegetables:

Crunchy fruits and vegetables are easy to eat, but probably not so much when it comes to your teeth. Eating a fresh, fatty product not only contains healthy fiber but is also the best choice for your teeth.

Colgate toothpaste makes people bright smile and future:

Through its Bright Smiles program, Bright Futures, Colgate has reached more than 50 million children through free dental testing, referrals, and oral health education. The company had more than half of its public commitments of 100 million children through these services in 2010. Blue Smiles, Blue Futures gives children the power to control their oral health and helps inform you of the importance of maintaining good dental hygiene.

Don't ignore your tongue:

Plaque can also build up on your tongue. This not only leads to bad breath but can also lead to other oral health problems. Hold your tongue gently every time you brush your teeth.

Drink much water:

Drink water is vital for life for every person in this world. Water continues to be the best drink for the rest of your life - including oral health. Also, as a sixth rule, Schwartz recommends drinking water regularly after meals. This can help wash away some of the side effects of sticky and acidic foods and drinks between brushes.
