How Things become understandable when they have a name
I noway allowed that special parenthood would depend on a child’s opinion or anything externally defined. As I've written before, special parenthood is a state of experience that can arise from being an independent factor that poses further of a challenge to parenthood and managing than normal. It doesn’t matter if it’s a grueling particularity in the child, in themselves, in the life situation, in the immediate terrain, or in society. Still, the correct opinion is important in another way it's good to have a name for your child’s illness or abnormality.
The fact that a commodity can be named makes it accessible. Yes, for illustration, a “ health professional” sounds rather vague compared to a “ croaker”. The same is true of conditions and abnormalities. Those names can not always be added up in one word, but at least primarily verbal. The opinion can also be veritably vague, as we've in history, but when meliorated, it provides further keys to understanding and the capability to work on the contents of the given generalities in one’s own mind.
It may sound funny, but the opinion can be of great significance to the parents and the child themselves, indeed if enriching the opinion would not lead to changes in the factual treatment. The reason is that conditions and abnormalities must be suitable to be treated as part of one’s own identity. It's about understanding. Knowing what you have to live within your life is important, and it’s indeed better if it still has a concrete name. It’s also easier to communicate it to others when you can express it duly.
This issue came to the fore again with us when we visited last week to hear the results of A's autism diapason study. The study included a lot of interviews with our parents as well as meetings with A. The results were veritably clear autism diapason complaint, that is, Asperger’s pattern. Tourette's pattern also remained unchanged in opinion, but Asperger's was maybe considered to be further of the grueling side inA.
This is what we've been allowing about for so long that it seems really relieving that it was officially given that name. And as stated, nothing in the treatment will actually change. The drug stays as planned. Still, we now know more about what we're starting to find out and what we can and can not demand of a child. It's good to go to adaption guiding courses, for illustration, when you know where you're actually conforming. A himself sounded to admit the matter calmly and with interest, because it also helps the 9- time-old to understand himself a little better.
The stylish thing then's that there are also positive aspects to “ dislocation”. Tête-à-tête, I try to identify over all the good aspects that can manifest as different intelligence and creativity. And those aspects of A are enough. And of course, the same boy it's as ahead and just as important, but yes, similar effects only help me get near to the child.
