Nowadays publishing newspaper without printing technology, it is very hard to believe. But still there is a person who is using ancient method to spread newspaper called ''Andarmanik Newspaper'' all over his village just by writing in his hand. It can purely call unique & old method in this modern era. Technology has blessed us with lots of advantages to print thousands of copies at a time. But writing in hand & collect all the news & write it down is not easy task to do but Parvez doing it pretty well.
Andharmanik, named after a local river, which is a bimonthly publication launched by Mohammed Hasan Parvez in West Sonatala village, in southern Bangladeshi's Patuakhali District, where national dailies rarely reach and where most residents do not have access to the Internet.
Parvez is a brick kiln worker, He started writing the newspaper in May 2019 to describe the different motivational stories in his paper for the local communities people. The 40-year-old has no intention to earn more money from it. He just wants to bring peace in local people & businessmen so that they can learn from mistakes from other profession people. And people are willing to take it positively.
He said that ''I want to enlighten people with positive stories that what is happening in my communities, so that they can learn from errors of their neighbors & save themselves from not doing the same.''
Parvez is saying that he goes around the village & areas to gather local talked news. He has a volunteer team of fifteen members & farmers, fishermen & day laborers who keep up his updated news of what happens in their societies.
He added that He sit together with the team twice a month & collect all news they have gathered. He also added that he doesn't pay them anything for their services, but still they are very energetic & enthusiastic to be part of his handwritten newspaper.
Andarmanik has four different pages, he just print the main headlines in bold font at print in a computer shop of a nearby market & He then pastes the main headlines onto A-4 size sheets, fills in the content with pen rest of the part he writes it down in hand. He then makes 350 copies on a copy machine. He has so far published 12 issues, selling each of the copy for only 12 cents. He also said that each of his edition of copies of Andarmanik is read by more than thousands people in his village, which is third of entire village population.
A village man named Saleh Ahmed has said that,'' Andarmanik is a different addition & we villagers are proud of it & it speaks about all of us''
Parvez added that he has an aspiration for Andarmanik to continue it forever, even when he will no longer alive. We all wish his dream may come true. His enthusiast & motive to write in hand newspaper to his very own people for sure will last long & We also have found someone who has tremendous passion of using unique method for newspaper creation.
