The honorable name of autosome is revived and will soon adorn the body of a large car, pulling on the rear wheels. After the first successful “concept car” game at the latest car shows, the Chrysler Imperial will be built and should be in US showrooms in 2010. The much-anticipated Chrysler Imperial is a marvel at various car shows. Visitors are impressed by the look of the Bentley car and its interior with caves and luxury areas. At the moment, the product does not have a large or very comfortable offer for potential buyers who want to upgrade from 300C, so Chrysler has been losing consumers because of luxury products, something that parent DaimlerChrysler DCE wants to eliminate.
The name Imperial can be traced back to 1926 when Walter P. Chrysler decided to take Lincoln and Packard as a luxury model on his own. Since its inception, Imperial has been standing at the top of Chrysler's car and, at various times, marketed as its own. Various Imperial models have been shown over the years, most of which are elegant versions of the Chrysler's New Yorker model.
The 2011 Chrysler Imperial will be similar in design and concept car, but with the except of suicide doors. Chrysler has fitted special doors to the concept car to make it easier for car show visitors to see inside the car. However, reports from the company indicate that 22-inch wheels, Bentley grille, boxy body, and leather / wood trim will be installed. Imperial prices will not be announced for several more years, but could sell for $60 according to some reports. Currently, the top of the 300C line reaches approximately $42
So, why are you holding on? However, for the first time, the Imperial program will be an additional cost of DCX. Currently, the company is in the process of making its Mercedes line more profitable, and that involves the cost of upgrading a few models. Based on the Mercedes “R Class” body, the upcoming Imperial will likely be built on an updated version of the R Class platform. Both cars will arrive at retail showrooms at the same time as the 2011 models, which is why they have a long lead time.
The Imperial concept sits on a 123-inch wheelbase frame. The car measures 214 lengths, longer than 300C. Reports indicate that the size of the concept car is likely to be maintained.
For Chrysler fans, Imperial represents a further strengthening of the Chrysler-Mercedes relationship. Using the Mercedes platform, Imperial can be built and will provide Chrysler with much-needed product. Since a standard V8 with a five- or six-speed automatic transmission, the car will certainly not be on the fuel-saving side. However, my best guess is that the car will once again be equipped with an economical Mercedes built with turbo diesel, the first of any Chrysler car.
