Body Image in Six Easy Steps

On the other hand, body positivity is about more than just questioning how society views people based on their physical size and shape. It also acknowledges that racial, gender, sexuality, and disability prejudices are all too common.

Body image is a problem for many people with binge eating disorders. It's more likely that they have distorted perceptions of who they really are. You can create a positive body image in six different ways:

1. Start by compiling a list of the people you admire. Each person's admiration should be explained. Take note of what you are writing as you list the traits you like.

Let's say, for instance, that you hold Oprah in high regard. Perhaps you'll mention her kindness to others, her willingness to support what she believes in, and her determination to succeed no matter where she came from. If you admire Oprah, it's not because of her looks; it's because of what she's accomplished in the world. For her social contribution. She has touched and changed the lives of so many people.

2. In your life, when did you feel the most confident about yourself?

Think about a time when you were comfortable in your own skin. This could have been in high school or college. Close your eyes and think about how you felt. Good feelings should radiate from you.

3. Write down what you like about yourself right now and what you dislike about yourself.

Here, the key is to focus on your own likes rather than your many dislikes. Consider your legs, your eyebrows, your smile, your hair, etc. Write them down on a piece of paper. Start noticing the things you like about yourself and expressing your gratitude for them. Overall, you'll feel better after completing this exercise.

 4. Pay attention to your walking style.

Your head is lowered, and your eyes are on the ground when you walk. Do you hunch your shoulders when you speak? Perk up your ears! Begin walking and making eye contact with people as you pass them by on the street. Hold your head high and your shoulders back. Hold your shoulders back when you walk.

5. Begin to exercise.

Starting gently is important if you haven't exercised in a while. On a nice day, go for a walk in the outdoors. To avoid boredom, keep up your exercise program if you're accustomed to it. Even if you only exercise for 15 minutes, you start to feel better about yourself. Start slowly and work your way up to a more challenging level.

6. Surround yourself with positive individuals.

Examine your closest friends and family members for clues about your personality. They are either positive or negative. This attitude will likely reflect on you if it is negative. Your self-esteem will suffer if you spend too much time with negativity. You'll be fixated on the things about yourself that you don't particularly like or appreciate.

Beginner's Guide to Self-Acceptance It won't take long before you begin to notice the changes that have taken place. Learn to be on your side instead of always being against yourself. You need to relax your shoulders and stop worrying about what you're not doing. Your current self and your future self are both deserving of your love.
