Fast bowlers and medium pacers in the game of cricket use an off cutter as a sort of delivery. With the wrist locked in place and the first two fingers placed on top of the cricket ball, a bowler unleashes a typical fast delivery, imparting spin about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the length of the pitch. A right-handed bowler bowls an off-cutter by pulling his fingers down the right side of the ball (from his point of view), which is similar to bowling an off-break but faster. When the ball bounces on the pitch, it deviates to the right due to the altered spin axis, which now resembles an off-break.This deviation is to the left, or from the offside towards the leg side, from the perspective of a right-handed hitter. The delivery is referred to as an off-cutter because it drifts away from the offside, and this deviation is known as a cut. Mastering this ability might be helpful because cutters frequently persuade and fool the batter into playing misleading shots. An ideal off-cutter moves toward the leg stump after pitching on off stumps.
