The Seljuk of the Romans is a Sledgian-Turkish sultanate found in the Middle Ages from 1077 to 1307. Their capital was initially Iznik and then moved to a iconia. Since power was so mobile, many cities played the role of capital in periods in the Sultanate’s history such as Caesaria and Socios. The Sultanate extended at its height through central Anatolia, extending from the shores of Antalya and Alanya on the Mediterranean Sea to Sinop on the Black Sea, and in the east many Turkish tribes melted with it to reach Lake Wan and in the west its borders became near Denizli and the entrances to the Aegean Sea.
