The responsibility of designing what most people are one is not to be taken lightly. The past 18 months have brought about dramatic changes in the way we use our PCs; we went from installing the PC into our lives and tried to balance our entire lives on the PC. Our equipment was not just where we went for meetings, classes and activities, but when we came to play games with friends, to indulge in our favorite show and, perhaps most beneficial, to communicate alone. In this program we find ourselves redesigning office banter, hallway conversation, exercise, happy hours and holiday celebrations - digitally.
The most powerful thing was the transformation of the PC we saw and heard - from something practical and functional to something personal and emotional. This is what inspired us as we built the next generation of Windows. To create a place for you to feel familiar, where you can build, learn, play and most importantly, connect in all new ways.

We have simplified design and user experience to empower your production and promote your creativity. It is modern, fresh, clean, and beautiful. From the New Start button and taskbar to each sound, font and icon, everything is intentionally designed to control and bring a sense of calm and relaxation. Put a Start in the middle and make it easy to quickly find what you need. Getting started using cloud power with Microsoft 365 to show you your latest files regardless of which domain or device you have previously viewed, even on an Android or iOS device.
Windows has always been about helping you work the way you want, by providing multiple window flexibility and the ability to download applications from side to side. New to Windows 11, we are introducing Snap Properties, Snap Groups and Desktops to provide a more powerful way to do more and stay on top of what you need to do. These are new features designed to help you customize your windows and customize your screen area so you can see what you need in the way you want in a visually clean layout. You can also create different Desktops for each part of your life and customize them - imagine having a work, play or school desktop.

Another important part of bringing you closer to what you love is bringing you closer to the people you love. The past 18 months have inspired a new trend in how we create meaningful communication with people digitally. Even as we begin to return to more human interactions, we want to continue to make it easier for people to stay close wherever they are. And we do not want your device or platform to be a hindrance to you.
With Windows 11, we're excited to launch a Chat from Microsoft Teams integrated into the task bar. Now you can instantly connect by text, chat, voice or video with all your personal contacts, anywhere, regardless of platform or device, across Windows, Android or iOS. If the contact person on the other hand has not yet downloaded the Team application, you can still contact him or her via two-way SMS.
Windows 11 also gives you a natural way to communicate with friends and family through Groups, allowing you to instantly and silently, or start presenting directly in the task bar.

When you open your personal feed slides on your screen like a sheet of glass so as not to interfere with what you are doing.
