Cincinnati Pilot Schools
1) Cincinnati schools are pleased to announce that three local schools have been selected to participate in the national teacher evaluation program. Three selected Cincinnati public schools include John P. Parker School in Madisonville, South Avondale School in Avondale, and Whittier School in Price Hill. All schools were selected based on their organizational level within the No Child Left Behind Act. The program aims to demonstrate the powerful impact that quality education has on student achievement and to enhance professional opportunities so that teachers can hone their skills and earn rewards for their hard work.
Reason for the Teacher Development Program
2) The Teacher Development Program recognizes that many young and talented teachers choose to leave professionals early in their careers. The Teacher Development Program seeks to change that by providing qualified teachers with job opportunities and recognition that will keep them in the Cincinnati Community School program. The overall aim is to make teaching the choice of the most rewarding career that attracts child labor talent at Cincinnati Public Schools.
3) Superintendent Rosa Blackwell expressed her feelings about the Teacher Development Program as follows: I am very pleased with this assessment program, which is closely linked to other teaching programs at Cincinnati Public Schools. Research shows that quality teaching is a very important factor in increasing student achievement, and this program is designed to improve teaching by directing teaching resources where they are most needed - at the heart of the classroom.
4) The Ohio Board of Education and the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers both approve the Teacher Development Program. The president of the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers, Sue Taylor, comments, This is a transformation process that integrates the work that our teachers are already doing. It is an additional value model that will monitor the learner's progress from the first day of class to the last and will measure the value added by the teacher. TAP aligns with the teaching strategies used in our schools, providing teachers with a coherent and cohesive framework.
5) The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching commends Cincinnati Public Schools for approving the Teacher Development Program. President Lewis C., We are delighted that Cincinnati Public Schools and the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers have taken this bold step to implement the Teacher Development Program in three schools.
TAP aligns with the teaching strategies used in our schools, providing teachers with a coherent and cohesive framework.
Thanks
Overview of the Teacher Development Program
6) The Teacher Development Program aims to assist Cincinnati Public School teachers in four ways. First, it seeks to provide opportunities for the use of professional growth, allowing teachers to come together and devise strategies to help all students read the church agenda. Second, the program will show teachers a wide range of career opportunities, providing mentors and leading teachers to help teachers plan and reflect on teaching. Third, the program monitors teaching-based responses, in which teachers learn to translate student data to improve education. Finally, compensation can be made to reward teachers for high student achievement and to seek professional growth and teaching.
