Why You Need To Blog For Your Business! Here Are The Seven Reasons

If you are not blogging for your business, you should. Although many people reject blogging because they describe it as a web diary, they are missing out on opportunities to generate a lot of traffic and revenue every day. Are you one of the missing?

Truly blogs are so much more than just a simple web diary. They are really a content management system and/or handy website template. Blogging software allows you to start posting your content on the Internet in minutes, and you have a powerful traffic magnet when you use that capability with the RSS feed.

I came up with 7 reasons why every business should have a blog and RSS feed.

Publishing a regularly updated blog will help you stay in touch with your current audience and/or customer base. You can publish updates, news or views as well as answers to questions on your blog.

A blog can help you attract new customers. Your blog entries (posts or articles) become bait for search engines and attract new visitors. If your blog answers visitors' questions or attracts their interest, you have found another worthy lead.

Blogs and RSS feeds are more common in search engines than traditional websites. Search engines prefer blogs and RSS feeds. If you design your blog correctly, search engines will be notified every time you update. Most search engines frequently revisit blogs even if you do not ping them regularly. Plus it contributes to a blog's organization spending and better search engine rankings.

Blogs help you to establish or build your reputation in a specific field. As your blog grows you will showcase your knowledge in the niche you choose.

Blogs and RSS feeds are good sources of revenue. You can sell pay-per-click ads, affiliate ads, or advertising space on your blog. In fact, many PPC companies also offer the ability to add PPC to your RSS feed.

Blogs are the best way to generate leads. Even if you do not want to place any ads on your blog, you can use it to promote or capture leads for your own programs. These are great leads because they come from your blog which means they are already interested in your topic and are in advance of your personal message.

Creating your own blog is one of the easiest ways to establish a presence on the internet, and creating an RSS feed is even easier. In fact, it's the cheapest way to get started on the Internet because there are so many free blogging sites out there. I started with http://blogger.com and generally recommended them but have also heard others refer to many other top blogging sites‌. The blogging software I use now is WordPress, and it is also free. In fact, many web hosts now offer WordPress (or other free blogging software) as a free site add-on through Fantastico. Installing WordPress from scratch is quick and easy, but Fantastico makes it even easier. Blogs created on Blogger build RSS feeds for them, and WordPress also automatically generates feeds in many forms.

As you can see, there are many benefits to starting your own blog and RSS feed. If you can count on the many benefits of a free and easy-to-use internet marketing technique, you should not start using it yourself.
