Why wise Use Of Credit Cards

Consider: For many buyers, mortgages (or rental payments), and car payments are usually the most expensive debt that a consumer can afford. These two payments alone are not uncommon… Using your credit cards wisely can be the most important and beneficial decision you can make regarding financial health. The reason for this is simple: high interest on a credit card can cost you more money if you find yourself unable to pay on time. Consider: For many buyers, rent (or rental) payments, and car rental. usually the two most expensive debts a consumer has. These two payments alone can be more than 30% of a buyer's take home monthly. If high-interest credit cards are added to this, the total monthly cost could easily reach 60% or more of the return home. That doesn't leave much to other costs like food, clothing, car insurance, personal loans, etc. For many consumers, the payments on their credit cards are an expensive debt that they carry. In other words, the amount they have to pay when they pay is higher than what they spend on repaying the loan or paying for the car. There are many reasons why credit cards can be a threat to your financial health, but the number one reason is that they are very easy to use. The number of people using credit cards for small, random purchases is staggering. Consumers often forget that if they do not pay their full balance within the allotted time, they will be charged interest. Some companies will be fair with this money, but many will gladly charge you with the credit they give you. To make matters worse, if you delay payment, or if you do not make all payments, this can be reflected in your credit score. It does not take long for delinquent or non-payment payments to reach your credit report and if they are in your report they remain there for seven years. These marks compared to your credit will often cause lenders to reject your future loans or cause you to charge higher interest rates on accounts you may wish to open. After all, late payment will cost you money in the future. The best way to handle credit cards is to pay the balance as it happens. This not only makes you look good in your credit report but also prevents you from paying those high interest rates for the transferable balances. The second thing you should do is avoid using your credit cards unless you really need to do so. Instead of paying with your card, pay in cash. This one act can save you a lot more money than you can imagine. Yes, it is easy to pay by card sometimes, but it is also very expensive. If you feel you are already in trouble, sit down with your statements and come up with a plan to start paying for them. Start with credit cards with very low balances. Once these have been paid, move on to the next top and start paying for these down. It will take patience and sacrifice, but it can also be done and soon your credit cards will be managed.
