Why weight loss vs. Fat loss – Yes There Is a Difference!

To lose weight, your body must burn more calories than you need, but remember that your body needs calories to gain strength when you exercise; your body needs extra calories. Before I talk about strength, the first thing you need to understand is that weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing. Just because you lose weight does not mean that you are losing fat, and just because you are losing fat does not mean that you are losing weight. When people talk about weight loss, the thing they really want to do is lose a lot of fat in their body and get an attractive figure. When you eat, the body uses more calories to get energy. If you eat more calories than your body uses, they will be stored as fat. If you do not eat enough calories a day you will lose weight, but you will also lose energy. If you do not eat enough energy (calories) for your body, you will start using your energy stores to compensate for the lack of energy. Unfortunately, used energy stores are not your stored fat, but rather protein and carbohydrates (carbs) will provide more energy (stored fat makes up a very small percentage). Your body will absorb protein and carbohydrates from your muscle cells; causing your muscles to shrink (say goodbye to that attractive look) that forces your body metabolism down (low metabolism = slow or no fat burning). When this happens your body needs less energy to keep its new weight down (remember weight is lower due to weight loss), which is why your body stores energy by reducing metabolism. In other words, the body is accustomed to a new level of low energy (calorie) which means it will not continue to lose weight. Remember that the weight you lost at first was water weight and you will eventually find it in the form of fat, not muscle (to restore your muscle mass to the way it was before, you have to work on rebuilding it). If the carbohydrates and proteins in your body are already being used as a source of energy, your body will lose water weight because both carbohydrates and proteins trap water in the cells. In fact, you dive into the water to lose weight. So yes the scale will go down, but about 75% (if not) of it is water instead of oil. And just so you know, exercising while eating small calories makes the condition worse. This is because when you exercise, you start to burn more energy and when you exercise, your body needs more energy. I have already told you where the energy comes from, and if you do not give your body the energy it needs, it will eat up your muscles as fast as you can. So eat more food! In addition, if you significantly reduce your calorie intake, your body will start to store calories because you do not know when to eat again. The stored calories will be stored as fat. So in other words, when your body stores energy, it basically stores more fat. To sum up my point: Not eating enough calories causes muscle loss, dehydration, slow fat burning, and your body will constantly adapt to a low-calorie diet. The bottom line: if you can keep that low-calorie diet for the rest of your life, you will gain weight if you get tired of starving yourself! To lose weight properly (fat burning) you need to increase your body weight (weight training) and your need for oxygen (aerobics) while eating enough calories each day (nutritious food) to energize and retain protein for your muscles because proteins help build. muscle, which burns fat indirectly. This points to another good point: When you build muscle your weight will increase because your muscles are made up mostly of water, but your body fat percentage will decrease because muscle building muscle grows (in other words, muscle more than fat, but take up less fat). So remember that body fat loss cannot be measured by measure; use the measuring tape and look at yourself in the mirror, and you will see the true results. One of the best ways to know if you are losing body fat than water is to use a body fat analyzer. Make sure you focus on fat loss and not on weight loss. Your goal should be to lose weight by burning fat, not to lose water in your muscles. Keep this in mind when choosing your weight loss plan.
