Why weight Loss At Work: Non-Food Rewards

Email comes out at noon. “To celebrate your hard work this week, there is a cake and ice cream in the main kitchen at 3 today. Be there! ” The universal reward for hard work seems to be food: cake and ice cream, cooked lunch for work-training hours, pizza for overtime workers, bagels and cream cheese to light up a dark Monday morning. Food seems to be a constant favorite of any kind of work reward because it is universally accepted. Some of us (we hard core dieters) may pass on sweet treats but often find something acceptable. In a world where two-thirds of us are either overweight or obese, is there anything else that can be found as a gift that encompasses all that we love? Recently, we had a week in my company dedicated to thanking the staff. The main prizes were food but some extra items: a company baseball cap, a water bottle, a lunch bag, and a handwritten thank-you note for all the staff from their manager. The cap was a bust for us by any modicum of fashion sense; The flask and the closed bag were related to food, and the handwritten notes were overpowering - good managers showed their appreciation with constant effort while a handwritten note from a rude manager, no matter how "thank you" was said, meant a diddly squat on an angry job. IT'S got to be something else, isn't it? We humans have a few things in common and food is a global phenomenon. Other normal bodily functions such as urination and urination are not easily translated into a specific reward system. We are all involved in physical activity, to a certain extent, but often that is harder than having fun. When it comes to our other senses, we are all so different that one person's pleasures are another person's pain: music, perfumes, pictures, or massage are different things than usual. Money is almost always acceptable but small amounts will be produced individually to replace free dessert or snacks can be so small that their reward value can be negligible. So what about those of us who eat a regular diet, and are alarmed by the increase in the number of colleagues, would suggest? What about plants? Individual small pots or a large door tree can save our buttocks while adding to the health and beauty of our environment. I read, within my call center, that if the plant had been given to each department, instead of food, for celebrations for the past 5 years, I would now be working in a lush green rainforest plant where fresh air recycled would be cleaner, more humid, and twice as fresh. a thousand. Moral booster and health benefits at the same time! What about the gift of time? In our busy and stressful lives, you can't thank you enough for a free hour here or there. Go around each door, and let one or two leave on Friday morning. That can mean something and it will not cost money so the top management should be happy. Instead of a handwritten note, what about getting managers to do the work of their subordinates for an hour or more, once in a while? Can you imagine how a worker would grow up to be on a phone, in a machine, or on a computer, blowing air with friends for an hour while his work was done by his supervisors? And if mistakes are made - it is much better. It creates a sense of equality and a relationship between employees and managers that is already lacking in the business environment. What about free “Get out of jail” cards for all line work? Each person receives one free card and additional cards can be issued to management for excellent work, ensuring that better employees have more cards. Cards can be used as an excuse for minor mistakes - arriving late, early departure, making minor mistakes. By using the card, the employee avoids verbal training, warnings, or reporting. And let staff use their cards for colleagues they may need - think team building can achieve! Flexibility of hours, assignments, and days is another area in which employees will respond worldwide: not on money, or on food, but on personal needs. Give each employee a wish card and let them use it to get something they need. What does all of this accomplish? It allows workers' wages without fats and carbohydrates. Now isn't that right? P. S. I recommend this to my company. I'll let you know when they buy it!
