There is no blessing like water, no one can take it.
Sometimes you find such people somewhere that it is as if you have just met those people, Allah has sent you here to meet them. Such a person came to me at Karachi University. Madam Tabassum Afzaal, a kind and respected teacher, often teaches a lot because of her experience and her words resonate with listening even after class. One day different ideas for educational planning were discussed. During the conversation, he took us to his previous one and told us about his travels to provide educational resources. He said there were people in Sindh living on boats. These people live in water and their lives depend on this water but, over time, this water becomes polluted. Most of the polluted water from South Sindh and southwestern Baluchistan is pumped into the lake, causing water pollution. And the lives of these aquatic people are at stake. Fish are disappearing as a result of polluted water, which has seriously affected the lives of local people. In addition, people living here suffer from various skin and intestinal ailments as a result of drinking contaminated water. It is very difficult to persuade such people with education. When I did my research, I found that according to the data collected in 2020, there are an estimated 450 people living in this area, of whom only three are literate. They have to go to the Shawn area to get an education and spend a lot of time on the commute to work.
Considering Madame's speech, just think, what is the place of water in all of our lives? Sometimes, if there is a day when there is no water, then life is full. Every effort is made to make water available. The courage to fast already comes from Allah, the Lord of Glory, but many people drink jars of water as soon as they break their fast. Here is the place of this blessing, there is no blessing like water, there is no substitute for this blessing. It is a well-known fact that if the whole world were to be divided into three parts, only two parts would be surrounded by water and one part of the earth. The study also shows that there is 71% water available worldwide. Despite the abundance of water, the fact is that most people in the world are deprived of the great blessing of water. And when we talk about people being deprived of clean water, the number is even greater. But what is the reason for touching on this topic today? Is World Water Day celebrated today? No. But that is our real problem. Talk about rubbing salt in my wounds - d'oh! If it is International Mother's Day, love should be shown to mothers. If it is Father's Day, say hello to Dad.
If it is Teacher's Day in the world a teacher should be commended and if it is water day in the world it should be considered every drop as a tragedy for those who are thirsty and their grief. Well, for those who suffer from various water problems throughout the year, what can be done to alleviate their suffering by simply reporting it one day? A few months ago, I was working on a project related to water supply at Thar Parker. Ever since we got into this situation, the idea of how busy we are in our lives and of not being aware of the suffering of God's servants around us has often taken root in our minds.
There are villages in Thar Parker where there are no signs of water in the distance and residents have to walk many kilometers to fetch water. This work is usually done by women and children. Certainly the voice is raised not to make the children work, to equip themselves with education. That is 100% true. But think, if a person does not get water, what will these education certificates mean to him or her? If the people around them are thirsty for water, who would be interested in education or other development issues? If people around you suffer from various diseases because of contaminated water, will they consider education to be more important, or will they consider mitigating their suffering? Of course, his mind will only consider ways that can help him find clean water. To deny the connection between a matter such as water and education or to ignore the consequences of such an education is foolish.
While World Water Day is approaching, without waiting, efforts for a better solution to this problem must be made from today and throughout the year. Access to water and access to clean water are both problems that pave the way for many more problems. There are many steps that can be taken by the government in this regard. For example, boreholes can be planned in the towns of Thar Parker and steps can be taken to turn wastewater into clean water. In addition, efforts can be made to ensure that waste is not dumped into lakes and seawater. After government, it is the responsibility of social organizations and all citizens to do something about their status. Ordinary citizens, if they can do nothing financially, should do enough to save this great blessing from loss. How many gallons of water is wasted each day with leaking taps and pipes?
How many times have water been left open and flowed aimlessly. The idea of the value of an easily accessible blessing is erased from one's mind. You do nothing but save this blessing from being lost. Make yourself and others feel special. According to Madame, if we do not solve basic problems like water, we can create vibrations, but we cannot fully prepare educational ideas. Every little effort you make will be a great reward to Allah. Who can be more grateful than Allah? Remember
