There is a word that most obese people do not like, a word that kills people and makes their mind switch to another channel to avoid thinking about it. Unfortunately it is an important part of weight loss and something that if done well is the key to your success. The word ……………… .. Exercise! Now stay with me here, change your mind and go back to what I said stay, in this same framework. The reason why many obese people do not like the word ‘E’ is because they have kept in mind that with equal pain and like most people they will do anything to avoid pain. There is a better way and you can find a better way if you start to understand that there are different 'types' of exercise (hey, don't lose it - stay with me now) At a lower level than 2 types of exercise, these are; · Aerobic and · Anaerobic Aerobic exercise causes your heart and muscles to work harder, pumping blood around your body at a higher rate to carry oxygen to the muscles to keep working. The bad result of this is that you produce acid in your muscles, and lactic acid becomes more precise. It is this lactic acid that makes your muscles strong after you finish, causing you pain. Lactic acid also stays in your system for as long as your body finds it difficult to break down. If your body can't break down the acid you wrap it up and store it as fat! The main type of exercise that people regularly do is running, yes this helps build strength but if you want to lose weight you can only focus on building strength if you lose enough weight. What you need to focus on to start losing weight and nothing else, fitness comes later. This is where anaerobic exercise comes into play. Anaerobic exercise causes the heart to work harder than normal which still pushes blood and oxygen throughout the body but does not work the muscles hard so it does not create lactic acid. Excessive anaerobic exercise helps to release stored fat and acid and aids in the digestive system so that the body can get rid of it. Remember that you cannot 'burn' your weight. The saying ‘burn calories’ is a myth! The weight you shed should leave your body in some way and it is because of your digestive system that this is happening. So, what is the best form of anaerobic exercise? I hear you asking Well, as the title of this article suggests it is on foot. My suggestion to you is that you travel 1 ½ hours at least 3 times a week and that should be divided into the following; · 15 minutes warm up you go a little faster than your normal speed · 60 minutes you go faster that makes your heart beat faster · 15 warm minutes you walk at your normal speed. If you can not manage that to start getting your own level then start there and grow slowly until you reach this level. Remember warmth and warmth as this is important. Enjoy your ride.
