Smoking has always been one of the topics that is rarely talked about. Smoking is a way for people to create a habit to relieve stress and enjoy a small part of life. The problem is that a lot of people don't mind when people light up a cigarette or a cigar to light up.
Once it appears in TV shows, magazine ads, and other places, cigarette smoking may be one of the bad habits you should quit. In fact, this is one habit that people often start at a very early age, from childhood. And it is one of the habits that has a high mortality rate, especially from cancer associated with smoking. Although it may seem difficult to quit smoking, once you succeed, it will be all the more rewarding. The first benefits of quitting smoking are related to your health. Your body is the first to benefit from freedom from nicotine. Second but not least come the benefits of quitting smoking for your mind, and last but not least the benefits of quitting smoking for your life as a whole.
In this article, I write about the reasons why I decided to quit smoking. I feel it's important to have a number of good reasons for wanting to quit because it will help you overcome the cravings you will undoubtedly have. I hope this article will prove to be an inspiration and help other people to eliminate cigarettes from their lives once and for all. When they decide to quit smoking, most smokers turn to nicotine patches or gum. The catch is that they aren't particularly effective. Partly because you're still taking in nicotine. When various governments around the world try to convince people to quit smoking, they always seem to go the health route. For example, it could be a depiction of a man dying of cancer. I knew all the health risks associated with smoking, but I did it anyway. This was because, in my own mind, it was unlikely that these health problems would begin to really affect me until I was in my thirties. I thought there was a good chance I wouldn't be alive in thirty years, and that I should live for today. I would also try to convince myself that if I lived another thirty years, there was a good chance they would have found a cure for cancer by then. When I decided to quit smoking, health was one of the reasons I wanted to quit, but it was by no means the main reason. The main reason was undoubtedly financial. The price of a pack of twenty cigarettes in the UK has skyrocketed over the past few years. It's not that I can't afford to buy them, it's that I'd rather spend the money on other things like clothes or vacations. I found that if I stopped smoking, I would save over a thousand pounds a year. That's a lot of money to me, and it was what I always thought about when the demons in my head tried to convince me to smoke just one last cigarette. Of course, there were other reasons why I wanted to quit smoking. These include the amount they make your clothes smell, the amount they make your house smell, the effect they have on your teeth, the fact that most women consider smoking a bum, and the sheer addiction one can get to cigarettes. For example, I feel a little stressed, so I have to have a cigarette. I drink coffee, so I have to smoke a cigarette. It was very difficult to quit smoking cigarettes, but all the effort is worth it.
