Stress is a normal reaction to feeling unable to handle particular demands or circumstances. However, if a person does not take action to control it, stress can develop into a chronic condition.

In 2018, the American Psychological Association (APA) reported that the country's average stress level was 4.9 on a scale of 1 to 10. The poll discovered that work and money were the two main sources of stress.

The immunological and digestive systems among other regular biological processes are slowed down by stress. The body can then focus its energies on maintaining proper respiratory patterns, blood circulation, attentiveness, and muscle readiness for unexpected usage.
During a stress reaction, the body undergoes the following changes:
Blood pressure and pulse rate increase, digestion slows down, immunological activity declines, and muscles stiffen up.
A higher level of alertness causes a reduction in tiredness.
The impact of stress on one's general health depends on how they handle a challenging scenario. Many stressors can be present simultaneously or consecutively for some persons without causing a major stress reaction. One stressor may cause a stronger reaction in other people.
Types
