The first OTA update for Nothing Phone (1) adds functionality and corrects issues and why it was important.
A fresh OTA update that addresses a number of problems and even seeks to improve camera performance has just been released. Even two new features are included.
For the Nothing Phone (1), the first over-the-air (OTA) update is now available. The 120MB update to Nothing OS 1.1.0 includes various bug fixes as well as new features. One of the latter lets you show your non-fungible tokens directly on your home screen and is called an NFT widget. The blockchain keeps track of NFT ownership, enabling anyone to claim ownership of certain works of art, old tweets, etc.
NFTs can be purchased or sold, allowing customers another means of engaging in speculative trading. And the placeholder image on the Nothing Phone (1) just so happens to be Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, who paid a cool 89.99 Ethereum for his NFT, which is currently worth $138,567.50 after being valued at $310,997 at the time of purchase. The widget's menu on the phone will now include a section for the NFT Gallery.
However, I digress. The Glyph fill lights are now accessible when the phone is in portrait position, and owners of the Nothing Phone (1) may now remove the Google Search bar from their home screen. Low-light photos are now clearer and noisier-free, and both the primary and ultra-wide sensors will now produce better color constancy.
The upgrade makes it possible for Tesla owners to access specific controls from their smartphones. For instance, you can use your Nothing Phone (1) to turn on the AC in your Tesla before getting inside, switch on the inside lights, and even flash the headlights to make it easier for you to locate where you parked the car.
One bug that caused the under-display fingerprint sensor to vanish from the lock screen was eliminated, while Face Unlock's speed and effectiveness have also been enhanced. The July Android security patch is also included in the update.
The Nothing ear (1), a set of truly wireless earbuds, and the Nothing Phone are products of Carl Pei, a former co-founder of OnePlus (1). The device has a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 60Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400. The Snapdragon 778+ chipset powers the device, and configuration choices include 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.
The smartphone contains dual speakers and two 50MP camera sensors in the back, one of which is the primary and has an f/1.8 aperture, the other being the ultra-wide camera, which has an f/2.2 aperture. There is a 16MP selfie camera up front. The phone has a transparent back and LEDs on the back that let the user know when a notification is coming in.
The handset's 4500mAh battery is designed to last all day, and the 45W charger, which is optional, will charge the battery from empty to 65 percent in 30 minutes.
