Western medicine is notoriously complicated when it comes to the manufacture of drugs and targeted drugs taken from a science-based perspective. However, it has been a major failure when it comes to being open-minded about solutions to medical problems that come from outside the science of extraction. This is why, for many years, western medicine has failed to draw the line between food and acne. Medical advances, as well as treatment for acne, have improved dramatically in the last 15 years or so. Yet the problem of acne remains unresolved, until recently. In the last few years research studies have started to shrink, and now they are full indicating that there is a link between acne and diet. The basic premise of the study is that eating is refined carbohydrates and sugars is a major cause of many people's problems with acne. Scientific theory holds that when carbohydrates and sugars are metabolized, it leads to an increase in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1 production. This growth factor triggers the production of male hormones in the body in very large quantities. These growth hormones lead directly to an increase in the amount of sebum produced. Sebum is a grease-like substance that comes out of your pores, which people often describe as oily skin. Sebum then clogs your pores and eventually causes a buildup of germs in those pores that can leak out due to sebum. This eventually leads to acne. That detailed explanation explains this easily; if you eat refined carbohydrates and sugar you can make your skin worse, clog your pores, and develop acne. So, what is the answer? Not surprisingly, there may be a reduction in sugar and refined carbs like sweets and pastas. These foods give us very little of the nutrients we need, while also giving us a lot more in the form of clogged holes. In fact, recent studies indicate that these foods may be so bad for you that your body fights them as a disease, with the production of white blood cells. These white blood cell costs not only reduce your immune system temporarily, but also make your body produce more toxins, some of which are excreted through your pores. But you may be surprised to learn that quitting chocolate and spaghetti may not be the only way to get clear skin. Instead, there are a number of foods, especially raw vegetables and antioxidants that can remove the skin. These foods act as a kind of mop inside the body to absorb toxins, also known as free radicals, which are often excreted as bacteria on the skin. So, in fact, following a healthy diet can counteract the problem of acne in two different ways, reducing sugar and refined carbs will cause your body to produce less pore clogging sebum, while increasing your diet of certain raw vegetables will greatly reduce it. Less than the number of bacteria released through your pores. Taken together, these two strategies will greatly reduce your tendency to acne.
