Why Teeth Sensitivity is a Nightmare!!!!!

Sensitive teeth can make life miserable being associated with pain and discomfort they bring while eating or drinking your favorite food.

Sparks of Indication

Often, this condition indicates toothache after drinking cold liquid, hot or cold food, or breathing cold air. If the pain is too severe for you to tolerate, you should see your dentist immediately.

Reason for Sensitivity

It starts to happen when the ‘Dentine’  the softer, inner part of the tooth becomes exposed. Mostly, teeth sensitivity begins when gums begin to erupt and erode. As gums act like a protective layer, which covers and provides protection to the roots of the teeth. When the gums recede and come out, the roots are unprotected, so they are exposed giving us that feeling of painful sensitivity.

Closing the Tubules

The root tips usually contain small tubules that lead directly to the dental arteries. Whenever pressure, hot, or cold elements travel down the tubules causes pain. Those who do not have sensitive teeth will have their gums closing the tubules, which prevents these types of things from happening.

Brushing Gently

If you reduce the pressure on your brush while brushing it will make your gums healthy. Brushing your teeth harder can make teeth whiter, but it will also tear gums, which can lead to sensitive teeth.

Friendly toothbrushes

There are several toothbrushes on the market that contain potassium nitrate, which helps to reduce the pain and discomfort associated with sensitivity. While there are a few dental groups to choose from, Sensodyne is the preferred choice. Dentists are recommended, simply because it affects the dental nerve and stops the pain at its onset.

Mouthwash

Mouthwash can also help with tooth sensitivity, as long as it contains fluoride. Use such type that it will not burn your mouth when you use it. It will leave you with a euphoric feeling and also clean your mouth and teeth completely by killing bacteria. It gives you a good breath which sometimes we can't find even using toothpaste. It helps in preventing plaque growth on your gums. Sometimes there are canker sores a kind of ulcer in the mouth, by using mouthwash chances of its development are reduced.

Fluoride toothpaste

If you start using fluoride toothpaste like Sensodyne and mouthwash, you will notice a slight improvement in your teeth and gums. Sensitivity will start to go away, giving you relief almost immediately. It makes the weak spots stronger and strengthens the exposed roots. It helps to mineralize your tooth enamel and reduces the maximum chances of tooth decay

Visiting a Dentist

Most importantly do visit your dentist once a month. If you love your teeth and want to give them along with life then a visit to the dentist is a must once a month. Your dentist knows best how to eliminate your allergies permanently, and how to prevent your teeth from further damage. Similarly, you get well educated regarding proper dental hygiene

Dental sensitivity is something most of us have to deal with - but there are a lot of ways you can fight it and prevent the pain. So stay healthy and keep your teeth healthy.
