WHY SOLAR ENERGY TO BE USED FOR GREEN INDIA

Solar energy is one of the clean, renewable energy in the world. Nowadays, solar energy is easily available for industrial use and domestic use because the maintenance cost is low compared to other renewable energy. In most countries, they use solar energy as a prime energy source for their daily needs. In India, solar products growth is increasing gradually every year. in urban areas, solar energy products growth rate is more compare to rural areas. Rural people slowly adopting solar products in agricultural areas. In urban areas people installing solar products on their homes, buildings, etc. Govt of India has been planning to make a green city using solar energy sources. There are many renewable sources available such as wind energy, biomass energy, thermal energy, etc. Compared to all other resources, solar energy is the main energy source used widely across the world. The national solar mission has been established in India. It is a global leader in solar energy.

The main focus of the national solar mission is to enable solar technologies in the country in both rural and urban areas. India is highly dependent on fuels for its industrial growth as well as economic growth. Nowadays, the importing ratio of fuels is more as fossil fuels are the main cause of environmental damage in India. Fossil fuels consist of coal-based and mineral-based oil power plants in India. Emission is more in fossil fuels. These fuels can more pollute the air and water. this is the right time for India to utilize solar energy instead of fossil fuels. Solar energy is easily available for industrial use as well as domestic use. The govt of India also announces some subsidies and relaxation of tax on solar products. Actually, India has more potential for using solar energy as daily average sunlight ranges between 25 to 30 degrees during daylight. The Indian govt initiated the rural electrification program in the year of 2006. by this program explained the importance of solar power for rural area people. In this program, there was some 30 MW power of capacity installed in rural areas.

Through this program, some solar products included solar pumps, solar lanterns, solar bulbs, solar street lights, have been installed. In the year 2012, the solar grid capacity installed ratio has been raised to 400MW. In 2013, the growth raised to 1000 MW. the govt is planning to increase the capacity to 100 GW by 2022. the global market like Europe and the united states the solar products are normal.  As ther are leading in solar energy utilization. India is in the fifth position in solar energy utilization with 20 GW solar power installed. In India, large projects are coming yearly on solar energy. Gujarat is in the top state of solar energy development and using solar products in India. Other states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan are also in the race for using solar products and solar power development. All in all, the govt of India is working hard on solar energy and solar products to make India a clean and green city in the future.
