I am not a pure minimalist. However, I have tried and experienced it.
Declutter those things, objects, clothes from your house or your office desk. Minimalism will free your mind; it will give you more time in your life to think, to read, or to study your career-related courses.
Instead of by a costly branded phone, you can use that money for the course that you always wanted to study, instead of watching those TV programs and movies. You can spend that time reading a life-changing book. If you take a fiction book, at least you can escape your stressful life. Also, the books are going to be good for your eyes and brain.
Look at your kitchen; it looks messy or has many things or utensils that are not being used for a year.
Why don’t you give that to someone who needs it or who can use it or who cannot buy it?
Is your life boring?
Are you in difficult times?
Are you constantly worried about your life?
Then take a break, stop worrying, start cleaning your house by decluttering unwanted things. It will clean your life. Stop watching TV programs or movies. Keep yourself away from social media. During your weekends, spend your time clearing things and make space for yourself or spend time with your family members without entertainment devices or phones.
One week for your kitchen and the next week for your living room and the next for your bedroom, and the next for your office.
If it is a living room, remove that useless furniture. It is your choice, if you think you need it then keep it. If not, then remove it. The cleanroom looks clear, and you will not be distracted.
Office:
Clean your office desk; do that cable management if necessary. Move those objects or place them in the right place. Cleaning the table will give peace to your heart. It looks cool in your eyes. It will at least reduce your stress a bit.
Mobile apps:
- Stop those unwanted notifications.
- Delete those games that you do not play.
- Keep fewer apps and which are useful for you.
Plan your days:
Plan your day, every minute, every second, and every year. Create your life in your hand. Create a timetable for your work, reading, Studying, the gym, cooking, and maintaining your house.
Eating food:
Eat the right amount, stop when you feel it is enough. It is not bad to eat less once in a while. Take some intermittent fasting and give your machine(Body) a rest out of food. Stop consuming and buying hot drinks.
Exercise:
A good workout can keep you happy. You will look good in any outfit with good physic. A fit body will boost your confidence. Confidence and peace give happiness.
Clothes:
Do you want to buy those clothes?
Didn’t you see you have enough?
Buy some good quality clothes only when necessary and clear those unused clothes. Buy less and use it wisely.
Travel:
You don't have to travel the world, fly to a faraway country. In your busy life, you would not even go to that next street in a walkable distance.
Just take a walk, go to that Church, go to that temple or nearest park. Watch the people and create your own story about them. That man you are looking at might see his wife or buy toys for his kids.
Enjoy that sunrise and sunset from your balcony. Focus on your life, stop thinking, and start looking. By following this, your cost of living reduces. The money will not go away from you without your permission. This money can be used for the right thing or right in a situation.
You will get that time for your long time dreaming courses; you will get time to read. Space to stretch your body and lie on that floor or even dance. You will get time to read good books. Just try it and experience the change in life. Start loving yourself and your life.
