Fahad went to him and asked "Dada, why are you sitting alone, you are also very sad, is something wrong with you?"
His grandfather replied, No, I'm fine. I just feel like sitting alone.
"Dad, you know the New Year's party is coming up, so are you preparing for it?" Fahad asked excitedly
“No, dear, I'm not. With the passage of time and years, the world has completely changed, I see no point in celebrating the world I see today,” replied Grandpa.
“I know something is wrong with you, you don't want to tell me. Dada, tell me what is the problem?” Fahad insisted.
"I'm sad today because I feel like a stranger in the world I live in. It's not the same as the one I've come to know." Now everyone is busy with their own work, your father is busy with business and spends all his time worrying about his company. Your brother is busy on the computer, sisters are watching dramas and mom is busy with housework and no one is helping her. I don't know how to spend my days," said grandfather sadly.
Dado, am I not here to talk to you?" Fahad said. His grandfather smiled and said, Yes, you are here, but what about the others? In our time, we had a fixed time every day when the whole family sat together and talked, shared problems and laughed. Our relationships were very strong, but today's world is distancing us from our relatives.
That night Fahad thought about what his grandfather had said, a thought struck him. He decided to throw a surprise New Year's party at his own house and make everyone come together that day. New Year's Eve was approaching and Fahad was busy preparing for the party. He kept it a secret from his grandfather and begged everyone not to let him know about it, to surprise him.
It was December 31st, everyone was busy with their own work. His grandfather was sitting in his room reading a book. When the timer struck 8:00 PM, everyone started gathering in the living room and Fahad went to call his grandfather. When he reached the living room, he was surprised to find that the party was ready and everyone was gathered there.
"We're not going anywhere today, we're going to be together and celebrate tonight at home. It's four hours until the new year, so let's enjoy it. And grandpa is joining us today because he doesn't spend as much time with us as he'd like. Tonight's party is especially for you, grandpa!" The whole family felt embarrassed and apologized to Grandpa for being busy with his own life and ignoring him. Then they had a great dinner, talked, told stories and jokes, and waited for midnight. When the timer struck 12, they wished each other a happy new year and promised Grandpa that they would spend some time with him every day and not ignore him.
Fahad saw his grandfather looking very happy while talking to the family members. He came to Fahad and said:
My dear child, I am truly grateful to you. You make me feel excited and alive again today. I thought it would only get worse every day and year, but I know this new year will be good. Now I wish to live longer to enjoy it with everyone.
Fahad was also excited to see his grandfather happy and because his grandfather's prayers were with him.
So what do you think? Like them, we should celebrate the New Year together
