Uranium-like substance known to people in very ancient times. But unlike in our time, they only use it to create a special glaze for pottery and some kind of paint. It is used in this natural uranium oxide, which can be found in varying amounts on almost all continents of the deposit world.
After a long time, this element is of interest in chemistry. Thus, in 1789 the German scholar Martin Klaproth was able to obtain uranium oxide, which was similar to the metal of its parameters, but it was not the cause. It was only in 1840 that the French chemist Peligot synthesized uranium - now a heavy, silver and radioactive metal, which Dmitry Mendeleev made in his elemental sequence of elements. So what uranium should you enrich, and how does it happen?
In the reality of our time, natural uranium ore is not very different from the rest. These massive paving stones are rusty, which is extracted in the most conventional way in mines - the deposit is transported to the slab layers and subsequent processing surface. The fact that this natural substance contains only 0.72% isotope U235. This was not enough to use the furnace or weapons, and then after the kind, he had to be converted to gas and begins to enrich uranium.
In general, of these process methods, there are many, but the most promising and widely used in Russia is a gas centrifuge.
In special installations, the gas is pumped into the uranium compound which is then screwed on at large speeds, and there is a section of heavier molecules in the lung and groups them into the drum wall.
Then, these lubricants are separated and one of them is converted into uranium dioxide - dense and solid, which is then weighed down by a kind of "tablets" and fired in a kiln.
