How did the strange events take place? They are still shrouded in mystery. One such mystery in our country is Roopkhund Lake. What is the real lake? What is the darkest tragic mystery there?
There is a terrifying lake in the Roopkund region of Uttarakhand. The lake is covered with snow for 11 months of the year. The water in the lake is visible only in the month of May. Moreover, hundreds of skeletons also appear. None of those skeletons yet? What will happen if we go to that lake remains a mystery.
Situated at an elevation of 5,029 m above sea level in Chamoli District, the lake is covered with snow most days of the year. At that time the area was so beautiful .. it looked like earthly paradise. However, once the snow melts, the whole area becomes scary. Hundreds of skeletons can be seen along the coast. They were first spotted in 1924 by a British government forest official. Hundreds of skeletons have been found by tourists since then. However, none of those skeletons? Why did hundreds of people die there? What actually happened?
Locals say that Kashmir General Zorawar Singh and his army were trapped in adverse weather conditions while returning from the war in Tibet in 1841. However, others cite other reasons as well. The blizzard occurred when King Kannauj Jasdawal and his fianc భార్యe Balampa were returning from a visit to the Nandadevi Temple with their servants and dance troupes. They were trapped in the snow and died on the spot.
In 2014, scientists researched more than 200 skeletons on this mystery and discovered many interesting things. It is known that there were tribals who lived there in the 9th century. Cricket ball size holes were found in the back of the skulls.
It has also been argued that the entire group may have died due to a major blizzard when Kannauj Raja Jasdhawal, his wife Balampa, his servants and a dance troupe went to visit the Nanda Devi temple.Scientists have determined that all of them died from a severe blow to the back of the head, possibly a cricket ball-sized hailstorm. So that no injuries were found on other parts of their body. Scientists have concluded that this was an accident without any war or weapon involvement.
Every year thousands of tourists and adventurers come to see this mysterious river. The snow-capped mountains around the lake make for a spectacular experience, but their backs begin to tremble when they see the gruesome sight of skeletons floating in the river.
There are two ways to reach Roop Kund. Typically, climbers and adventurers travel by road to Lohajung or Van. From there, climb the hill at Van and reach Rani Ki Dhar. There is also some flat area where climbers can stay overnight. If the sky is clear, the bed can be seen with a bugle and a trident.
