First, let us go through the history of robots. The year was 1948. William Grey Walter first invented the AI technology of robots. Later in the early 1950s, George c. Devol came from a small country of Kentucky at Louisville. He developed assembled a reprogrammable manipulator called "Unimate," in other words, the Adam of robots. Where he first represented "Universal automation."
Although AI was first introduced successfully by Christopher Strachey in 1951, today, the technology of robots is far beyond imagination. It's only been 74 years the AI technology was introduced. And showed an astronomical growth in the history of robotics science.
It's hard to believe, before the end of this century, 70 percent of today's occupations will likewise be replaced by automation. Yes, dear reader, even you will have your job taken away by machines. In other words, robots replacement is just a matter of time. This upheaval is being led by the second wave of automation, one that is centered on artificial cognition, cheap sensors, machines learning, and distributed smarts. The deep automation will touch all jobs, from manual labor to knowledge work.
The evolution of new technologies, especially the persistent advancements of artificial intelligence, has changed the way we live and work. Today, we have surrounded by technology and even rely on its capability. Robotics in the way, emerges as an effective solution, redefining our preferences and shaping te future of industrial settings. With lower prices of sensors and electronics and a steady demand for efficiency, robot revolution. In fact, it is already here and set to transform the world in some ways. Think the adoption of autonomous cars, drove delivery and chatbots.
At first, robots were bounded by certain movements using wheels and could perform specific, deliberate actions. But now today, humans were successful in creating such a technology that was more precise than humans, efficient than humans themselves, and can process more information than an average human brain. But AI is so advanced that, now, humans are lagging in compared to them. Oviously, robots and AI perform tasks better than humans do, but they still incompetent of experiencing certain qualitative traits. They can never be as creative as humans. Robots can only perform tasks they are programmed to do without experiencing fatigue, with little or no mistakes. In order to make a career robot-proof, there is a need t think less about picking a safe job and more about constantly upgrading your skills throughout the carrer.
The world economic forum suggests many-collar jobs, including accounting, will be at ris from future automation, while OECD cities low-skilled jobs will be most vulnerable and there will be a strong correlation between education and income. Therefore, as technology landscape and skills become outmoded faster then ever, professions must keep themselves up-to-date with the latest skills and knowledge to remain competitive.
