One GTA trilogy remaster player has discovered a bike bug in San Andreas, preventing players from popping a wheelie while driving north of the map.
One Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition player has discovered a new bike bug in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, preventing them and any players from doing a wheelie on a motorcycle while going in any direction besides south of the map. Rockstar acknowledged the Definitive Edition's technical issues and backlash a week after its initial launch, promising to bring about future updates to improve the game's performance and graphics to reach the quality it originally promised. Additionally, the classic versions of the GTA trilogy returned to the Rockstar Launcher, and PC players who purchased the trilogy's Definitive Edition received them at no additional cost and will continue to do so until June 30, 2022.
The long-anticipated GTA trilogy remaster was released in November across consoles and PC, allowing players to re-experience the classic PS2-era titles - Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - revamped with visual enhancements and gameplay improvements on modern platforms. Unfortunately, backlash began following its initial launch, with disappointed fans taking to social media to mock the GTA trilogy remaster's numerous bugs, inconsistencies, and lack of polish that rendered it near-unplayable. This was further worsened when the Rockstar Launcher stopped functioning shortly after its release, and the GTA trilogy's PC version was subsequently taken down - angering many fans, especially those looking to be refunded for the temporarily removed titles.
Obscure glitches continue to plague Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, as one player has now discovered a bug in San Andreas that prevents players from popping into a wheelie on a motorcycle. Shared on Reddit, user bisfhcrew posted a clip of what appears to be the player attempting to pop a wheelie but becoming unsuccessful until changing directions. During the clip, the user can be seen experimenting to successfully pull off the trick, going in both north and south directions until successfully pulling it off. Oddly, the user claims that wheelies are impossible while driving in any direction besides south, with another user backing up the claim by stating they can't go north without having the same issue on the Xbox Series X
The GTA trilogy remaster seems to be racking up a reputation for numerous vehicle glitches being discovered each week. Similarly, fans recently discovered another motorcycle glitch in the San Andreas remaster. The obscure glitch is randomly encountered and attaches any deceased NPCs to the back of a motorcycle tire the player is controlling. It's considered to be one of the few reoccurring glitches from the original GTA Trilogy that made a return in the newly remastered collection, and it's unknown how many more are hidden within the game.
Despite only releasing a few months ago, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition quickly became one of the most controversial and disliked games of 2021.
