PUBG Mobile was banned in India along with PUBG Mobile Lite, and 116 other apps in early September by the Indian government, and the games were subsequently removed from the Play store and the App Store in the country. It had about 50 million monthly active users in India.
PUBG Mobile said, “protecting user data has always been a top priority and we have always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India. All users’ gameplay information is processed in a transparent manner as disclosed in our privacy policy.”
