Since, the first trimester of pregnancy, the first three months are very important for pregnancy, pregnant women are advised to stay away from certain foods during this time.

Raw meat-

Raw meat should not be eaten during pregnancy. It may contain bacteria called E. coli and salmonella that cause food poisoning. If you feel like eating meat, then eat it after cooking it well so that no pink color or blood stain remains in it. Wash your hands after handling raw meat.

Seafood-

Fish is a good source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Both these elements are very important for a pregnant woman. However, some types of fish such as shark, king mackerel and tillfish contain high amounts of mercury. Consuming high amounts of mercury can slow down the growth of a pregnant woman's baby and can also damage her brain.

There is a risk of allergies, rashes, vomiting and diarrhea from seafood. However, if you feel like eating seafood during pregnancy, then cook it properly and never eat raw fish or seafood.

Unripe papaya-

Raw and unripe papaya should not be eaten during pregnancy. It contains latex, which causes contractions in the uterus and can cause miscarriage. Papaya also contains substances called papain and pepsin that can affect the development of the fetus.

Pineapple-

Pineapple is a very nutritious fruit, but pineapple should not be eaten in the early days of pregnancy. It contains bromelain enzyme which can soften the cervix and initiate labor pain. Therefore, pregnant women should not eat pineapple during the early days of pregnancy or trying to conceive.

Fenugreek, Fennel and Sesame Seeds-

Fennel and fenugreek seeds cause contractions in the uterus, which can lead to premature delivery or miscarriage. They can be used in small quantities as a spice. Apart from this, sesame seeds are also a home remedy to trigger miscarriage. In Ayurveda also, it is advised to consume sesame seeds to regulate menstruation. It is better not to consume them at all in the first trimester, because the risk of miscarriage is high in the early days of pregnancy.

It is very important to be careful in the early days of pregnancy because the risk of miscarriage is high during this time. Know the name of such substances which should absolutely not be eaten in the first trimester of pregnancy.

What should be eaten during pregnancy?

Take balanced and nutritious food and arrange food in such a way that every month the weight of the pregnant woman increases by one kilo. Under the norm, it is considered appropriate for a pregnant woman to increase her weight by 10-12 kg from her normal weight during delivery.

Vegetarian food is the best during this time. Just keep in mind that the food should be balanced and the weight does not increase excessively. Milk and milk products and fresh coconut water can be consumed during pregnancy. In the last months, due to increasing weight, there may be difficulty in lying down at night, in such a situation, consume fruits only in the evening.

Proper diet is very important for easy delivery. The food should have the right balance of fresh fruits, vegetables, pulses etc. Along with this, you can take more milk, protein, fiber-rich foods, soybean, moong dal, iron-rich things – spinach, dates, raisins etc.

But do not contain fatty things in the food. This can lead to constipation and hemorrhoids. Therefore, the food should be rich in vitamins, iron and calcium and full of nutrients.

Most of the people keep giving various types of instructions in eating the pregnant, due to which the pregnant also starts suffering from stress. While pregnant can comfortably eat food of her choice for three months except papaya, favorite food is also good for health.

Avoid drug use during pregnancy. They have a bad effect on the health of the unborn baby. Stop or reduce the consumption of tea-coffee, cold drinks. Avoid the consumption of oily and spicy food.
