Why people prefer being an introvert nowadays?

WHY DO PEOPLE PREFER TO LIVE ALONE THESE DAYS?

Being an introvert is a new trend among the youth. They feel blissful in solitude. People like to live in their own Strawberry World. They are engaged more in their reveries than in the actual world around them. They sometimes even feel insecure around people. The factual reason behind this is that society needs a lot more than it can afford. They end up falling in love with themselves; who expects the least from them. One feels their own pain and tries to soothe it oneself. Self medicine sometimes proves out to be the best. Few people misunderstand the concept of introversion. Some people are scared of staying alone, yet they call themselves Introverts just because they feel it cool. Being an introvert is indeed an art, and not everyone is an artist.

This trend is so on the peak that the status of extroverts has declined. They have been dubbed as immature, childish creatures. This is true in some senses as the Introverts slowly sow the seeds of such self-realization that they barely are left with the tokens of immaturity. On the contrary, studies prove that Extroverts are happier in their life. They do not overthink and overanalyze every single happening. They let things go. Ignoring problems is a daunting task for Introverts. It's like the game of Tug of War; holding the rope tighter might improve the grip, but it hurts. Sometimes the pain is unbearable. However, surfing over the waves of pain is a handy task for Introverts.

This coin, too, has two sides:

PROS:

  • Creativity: It's an inevitable fact that being alone flourishes you in such a way that creativity blooms in you and continues to bloom endlessly.

  • Understanding: After spending a lot of time alone, you start to feel, "It would have been better if there was someone to understand me." It's totally natural; we all feel that at some point in time. Introverts usually do not have a lot of people in their world. So, they know the pain. They know how it feels when no one understands you. Thus, they always listen to you patiently and understand your problems deeply (if they agree to spend time with you ;) ).

  • Multi-Skilled: Studies show that Introverts are multitalented. They probably give themselves enough time to know their disguised god-gifted talents and develop some.

  • Good Observers: It is observed that Introverts speak less and observe more. They prefer to save their precious words rather than wasting them in rubbish talks.

  • Highly ambitious:  Ambitions grow in them naturally. They have more longing than the number of friends.

CONS:

  • Less expressive: Introverts usually do not like to express themselves in front of people. They have a thousand qualities, but this one disqualifies the lights from uncovering their hidden talents.

  • Lack of self-esteem: It's not wrong to say that not facing people will reduce your interactive qualities. They fear to face people and feel insecure whenever they have to. They even experience awkward and clumsy moments with people; this brings their self-esteem further down below the earth.

  • Criticism:  To be an Introvert, you must reiterate the Mantra that people will criticize you. Society has a rule of giving and take. In times of need, society stands with those who have good relations with their fellows. At some point in time, we all need the hand of society. Here, the Introverts get a disadvantage.

  • Loneliness: There is a fragile boundary between solitude and loneliness. At any point in time, emptiness may eat up the Introverts. At that time, they have no one and face depression, stress, anxiety, and many more consequences. The results may prove fatal sometimes; that's when self-killing cases are heard.
