If you want to stop losing your traffic even after your visitor clicks your “buy now” button, read… Here is proof from Microsoft that the problem has been created in the Internet Explorer web browser. 84% of people use IE. Other evidence proves that Netscape, Opera and Firefox are contributing to a major problem for domain owners. Every UNIX-based Web Server, Linux, or Microsoft, and so on, causes this problem.
And if you have something to do with PPC, PayPal, Card Merchant Service, Google Ads and Google Absence - even your FREE search engine list - you should know this and what to do about it. What is the problem? IT'S A TWO (preventable) ERROR in the relationship between ALL YOUR COMPLETED ONLINE SERVICES:
Your Web Server (regardless of product or platform) AND your PPC campaigns (such as Ads or Absence and others) (AND EVERY Search regardless of search engines) AND ALL Your Merchant Accounts (regardless of product or domain) AND EVERYONE's Internet Browsers (regardless of product or domain) Here's the problem:
All web servers store cached (or archive) pages of HTML web. Once the HTML page content has been changed and redirected to a web server, visitors can still see the OLD page residual - provided in the web server repository! PLUS, All web browsers store a repository of visited HTML pages (including images), locally.
When a visitor returns to purchase AFTER an update on the server, we may see a "cached" version of the content or worse - your "buy now" buttons - are offered on their desktop! Here is an example of how your site might be affected right now. It says you change the price of an item on a web page from $50 to $40.
Say you have a PayPal purchase button for $50 to go and get a new $40 purchase buttons for your new (updated) purchase page. Then upload your shopping page to your web server with the new $40 PayPal button.
Next, you go to google Ads and change the price of your campaign from $50 down to $40. And you wait for traffic and purchases. Then wait, and then ... wait. If your web server cache is not updated or if your client's browser cache is not updated, the visitor who clicks on your Ad's ad can find your old relic page.
And when they click on your purchase button and are introduced to your PayPal payment page, they will suddenly see a $50 price instead of $40! Why - because your web server cache did not update, and they were sent an artifact for your old page. AND OR their browser showed them the rest of the page.
We think nothing has changed on your page other than the new 'buy now' buttons from PayPal, your customer will think when you click your purchase button that they will pay $40. But if they find your PayPal page, the price they see will be $50. Take this step further.
Say review your purchase price a few times during the week. On Monday, your price was $50. On Sunday, you have changed your price 3 times down to $30, and you have not yet bought.
You could lose truck loads of lost revenue because your web server or client browser is still providing the page you uploaded in recent days. You paid for one-click advertising (PPC), hosting, etc., and you haven't sold much - why - because while your customers were going to pay you they were shown the wrong amount! Forget PayPal for a moment.
