You think thousands of thoughts every day. You talk to yourself more and more. You are your most trusted advisor or confidant. You will never share many of your conversations with anyone else because doing so puts you in touch with the "real". You who are full of self-doubt, anxieties, sadness, guilt, sorrows and disappointments.
But it's not the "real you" at all. It is you who are created by your ego and belief systems. These negative beliefs are created by you, and you have accepted as truth. The sad part is that nothing could be further from the truth.
Where did these false thoughts about you come from? They mostly came from others; Parents, teachers, colleagues and friends. They may have sown the seed by saying something like "she's fat" and you've amplified those comments to the point that they become your truth.
You are allowing your whole life to be controlled by some vague remarks you made years ago. No one has the right to decide who you are. Only you know who you really are and what is in your heart.
When you were born, you entered to this world without the burden of the current negative belief system. You arrived to this world as a beautiful package of joy filled with fully possibilities.
I am here to tell you that you have not changed. You are still and will always be a beautiful bundle of joy with unlimited potential and possibilities.
The only difference is what you give your attention to. Suppose a question. If you have stopped all the negative things happening to you in the present, like;
- I'm too fat
- Why would anyone want to love me
- I'll never be skinny
- I always fail.
And the list could go on and on... How do you feel? Do you think you will feel lighter emotionally? Do you think you will feel happy? Do you think you will feel more confident?
Now, how do you think your life will change if you go a step further and modify your self-talk by speaking only positive about yourself. If you take some time out to focus on what you love about yourself and focus only on that, then your emotional state will become positive to such an extent that you will be able to achieve anything.
Once you start looking for the positive things within you, you will be surprised to find that your magnificence has always been just below the surface. You are nothing more than the bright bundle of joys that entered the world years ago. It's easy to uncover the positive aspects of yourself by asking a few questions.
- What am I good at?
- Who has benefited from my being in the world?
- Who am I, what is there in my heart that only I know?
- What do I like about my body?
Your goal now is to feel good. What do you feel now? If you only see what you think is positive about you, you will feel good, you will be happy. Choice right here and now how you want to feel. Decide that you will always seek the good within you and appreciate that goodness.
So what does all this have to do with losing weight? Everything!!! Your emotional state is the control valve that determines what you draw into your experience. How you talk to yourself creates your beliefs. So you need to ask yourself whether you want your beliefs and subconscious programming to be based on false negative thinking or do you want your beliefs to be based on the truth, that you are and always have been a perfect being.
Get started today to love and nurture yourself. Let the joy, playfulness and excitement that you naturally had as a child flow into your daily experiences. Give yourself permission to celebrate every success, no matter how small. Love and appreciate every opportunity you have. Do this every day and see that as soon as your old negative beliefs about you start to go away, so does your weight loss.
