North Korea is going to close about a dozen embassies around the world, including several countries in Spain, Hong Kong, and South Africa. The news agency Reuters reported the news based on media reports and analysts.

The embassy closure is thought to close 25 percent of Pyongyang's diplomatic missions.

The South Korean government said on Tuesday (Oct 31) that North Korea is going through a tough time economically due to international sanctions. And for this reason, there is a glimpse of closure of diplomatic missions.

Last Monday (October 30), North Korea's state-run media KCNA said that last week the country's ambassadors held the last meeting with the leaders of Angola and Uganda. The issue of embassies closure has also come up in local African media. The two countries have maintained friendly relations with North Korea since the 1970s in terms of military cooperation and foreign exchange.

Chad and Carroll, founders of the North Korea-related website NK Pro, wrote in an article published Wednesday that the embassy closures have been as important as the economic shakeup of the past decade. This will affect the diplomatic sector as well as increase the amount of illegal income. Also, North Korea's economy will suffer huge losses.

On the other hand, the Unification Ministry of South Korea says that the closure of the embassy due to international sanctions will hinder North Korea's nuclear and missile projects.

North Korea has formal relations with 159 countries. There are also three consular missions and three representative offices. But this is before the withdrawal of diplomats from Angola and Uganda.

Israel suffers consequences of conspiracy: North Korea

North Korea blames Israel for escalating conflict with Palestinian independence armed group Hamas.

On Tuesday (October 10), various international media reported the news, quoting Rodong Sinmun, a newspaper known as the spokesperson of North Korea's ruling party.

According to the Rodong Sinmun report, there has been a large-scale armed conflict between Hamas in Palestine and Israel. The ongoing conflict is the result of "Israel's continued criminal actions" against the Palestinian people.

It further states,

The international community called the conflict the result of Israel's continued criminal activities against the Palestinian people. The fundamental solution is an independent Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, some US and South Korean media claimed that a 'North Korean-made' weapon was seen in the hand of a Hamas fighter during the fight against Israel.

According to US-based media Radio Free Asia (RFA), a North Korean-made A-7 high-explosive fragmentation rocket was found in the hands of a fighter of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in Gaza.

The claim was made by an account called 'War Noir' on social media X (formerly Twitter), RFA said. South Korean news agency Yonhap, news media Korea Times and KBS made the same claim with their sources.

North Korea has declared itself as a nuclear weapon state by amending the constitution. In this amendment, it is said to give permission to make nuclear weapons for national defense.

According to the report, this constitutional recognition will make the country interested in more advanced nuclear weapons to counter the US threat.

According to North Korea's state media KCNA, the amendment to the constitution states that advanced nuclear weapons can be made for the sake of survival. Such weapons would save Pyongyang from war.

The country's leader, Kim Jong Un, told the country's parliament,

Through this amendment of the constitution, a permanent nuclear policy of his country has been established. It has now become the law of the land. As a result no one can break it or show contempt for it.

He also accused the United States of inciting in various ways including conducting military exercises in the region. At this time, he also urged the countries that oppose the United States to unite.

Pyongyang conducted a record number of missile tests this year in defiance of international sanctions. In this regard, they did not listen to the warnings of countries like the United States and South Korea.
