Nothing's founder, Carl Pei, hinted at a specific date when replying to one of his followers on Twitter. In response, he tweeted "6/9 at 4:20."
No phone(1) was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards website.
That hints at an imminent launch of Nothing's first phone in India.
Nothing's founder, Carl Pei, may have hinted at a June 9 launch date.
Nothing's first smartphone, interestingly named Phone (1), is coming soon, the Carl Pei-led company announced some time ago. Though an exact date isn't clear, the company has dropped several hints that the Nothing Phone (1) will arrive in India around the same time as its international launch. A new leak has now confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) is going to India soon.
According to tipster Mural Sharma, the Nothing Phone (1) is already in the testing phase in India. This is a clear indication that the Nothing Phone (1) is coming to India soon. But to further back up his claim, Sharma shared what appears to be a screenshot of a Nothing device's listing on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The screenshot shows the Nothing A063 as the model Sharma believes will belong to the forthcoming Nothing Phone (1). Sharma also said that series production of the Nothing Phone (1) has started in several Eurasian countries, but he did not mention which countries.
However, the listing in the BIS says nothing about the phone. It's not that we don't know what the Nothing Phone (1) will look like, but details mentioned in an official listing like the one on the BIS website confirm the specs. For now, let's talk about what the rumors are suggesting.
The phone could not be found on the website of the Indian Standards Agency (1). This hints at the launch of India's first Nothing phone in the near future. The founders of Carl Pay have not yet announced a start date of June 9. Interestingly, not so long ago, a company managed by Carl Pay announced that the first phone(1) smartphone will not appear soon. The exact date is unknown, but the company has revealed that No Phone(1) will arrive in India almost simultaneously with its international launch. No phone(1) Coming Soon to India with New Leaks According to consultant Mural Sharma, Nothing Phone(1) is already in the experimental phase in India. This is a clear sign that No Phone(1) is coming to India soon. However, to further back up her claim, Sharma shared a screenshot of a list of devices with nothing on the Indian Agency for Standards (BIS) website. The screenshot shows Nothing A063 set up following Sharma's example.
The Nothing Phone (1) is expected to come with a 6.43-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. However, it's not clear if it would be a flat display or the one with curved edges. The Nothing Phone (1) is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G outscore chipset with a single storage configuration of 8vGB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The Nothing Phone (1) will likely use a 4500mAh battery, but details on whether there will be fast charging and wireless charging aren't clear. The Nothing Phone's (1) cameras will likely include a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. On the front, the Nothing Phone (1) should come with a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The phone will also likely come with Android 12 software, with Nothing OS on top.
