Why Mars is so mysterious and what if humans have to live there?
The red planet in the Solar system namely Mars has its special position and is also famous for its interesting landscapes. It is a mysterious place to consider for living for a long time. It is also known for having two moons, composed of stones and are asteroid in nature. One is named Phobos and the second one is Deimos. Deimos is named after a Greek god.
Mysterious rotation of moons on Mars
Recently, NASA has made a video in which Phobos, the larger one of the moons, is passing in front of Deimos. This video was made in August 2013. The diameter of Phobos is approximately 22 kilometers and its shape is a bit irregular. To make this clear, let's take an example. If you are on Mars then you will observe that it keeps on rising from West and sets in East, just opposite the Solar motion around the Earth. As we know, the moon of Earth is approximately 400,000 km distant from its planet, and Phobos is only four thousand kilometers away from Mars. Due to this extraordinary closeness, it rises twice a day after every four to five hours. With every 100 years timeline, it is getting closer to Mars by two meters. This is the point that has made space scientists get an idea that it would bump into Mars after a specific time duration. Due to this collision, it would be surrounded and covered for centuries in dark and dense clouds.
Earth and its rebirth
It is stated that many billions of years before, our earth collided the same way and this was so intense that it lead to the extinction of about 75 percent of creatures on earth which included Dinosaurs and different kinds of animals and plants. After that extinction, life on the earth was started again and led to the development and production of living beings.
Difficulties of life on Mars
Scientists are seriously concerned about the closeness of Phobos with Mars and its double rotation around it. As life on the earth has been made difficult due to industrialization and, hectic lifestyle, and it is predicted that after a certain time humans might be able to migrate to other planets in the solar system. Mars are the most anticipated planet for this migration. If humans manage to get to Mars, they may face severe issues regarding this moon as its rotation around the planet. It is also said that Mars has yet no water, however it has a reservoir of ice, so melted ice can be used as water. It would be different from earth though because Mars is too cold to melt the ice.
Would humans be humans after a certain time?
Here rises a question after a billion of years, is it possible for humans to survive in their current position? Is it possible that they may change from current biology and may alter to some other kind of living being? Few of the researchers are agreed to a point that predicts the changes in humans, and they clearly say that it may be our last century as a human. This is possible that earth may witness the humans for this last century and after that new mutants are produced.
Genetic modification of Humans
As per the latest research and data regarding evolution, it is said that humans in the upcoming centuries would be genetically modified, and they would be a lot different from the normal and prototype humans. So it is not sure that they would be called or named humans or have a new identity as per their biochemistry and metabolic changes.
