Karnataka farmer humiliated in Mahindra Showroom, Rs 10 lakh in 30 minutes for SUV
You must have heard that story, when the salesman of Rolls Royce showroom in London did not allow a man dressed in simple clothes to enter. That person was none other than Maharaja Jai Singh Prabhakar of Alwar. To avenge this humiliation, he bought all the 7 Rolls Royce cars in the standing showroom and got the garbage collected from them by bringing them to India. Later Rolls Royce had to apologize. Almost 100 years after this incident, now something similar has happened in India.
The case is of Tumkur district of Karnataka. Kempegowda RL, a farmer from Ramanpalya in Chikkasandra Hubli, went to Mahindra’s showroom on Friday to buy a car. There were some friends as well. He inquired about Mahindra Bolero SUV. The sales executive of the showroom looked at his clothes. It seemed simple to him. He thought that these people had come just to pass the time. It is alleged that the salesman made fun of him and said that Rs 10 is not in his pocket and has come to buy a car worth 10 lakhs!
What was it then, Kempegowda, a betel nut farmer by profession and his friends got enraged. He challenged the salesman that if he paid immediately, would he deliver the car to him today. According to Kampegowda, the salesmen must have thought that how these people would be able to arrange the money so quickly because today the banks are closed and tomorrow is a holiday on Saturday and Sunday. He accepted the challenge.
According to the news of Times of India, Kampegowda and his friends came out of the showroom and within 30 minutes brought Rs 10 lakh in cash and handed it over to the salesman. As soon as the news of the matter came to light, the rest of the people working in the showroom also gathered. Everyone was astonished. After this, Kempegowda asked to deliver the SUV. But now the sales staff was upset. He could not deliver. Saturday-Sunday was a government holiday. He asked for three days for the delivery of the car.
Now it was Kampegowda and his friends’ turn to flare up. He cut off the ruckus. The crowd gathered. The police have arrived. Kempegowda gave a complaint against the showroom at Tilak Nagar police station. The police came and explained to everyone. An apology was made to Kampagouda on behalf of the showroom. Apology was given in writing, then the matter was settled somewhere.

ਬਸ ਫਿਰ ਕੀ ਸੀ, ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕੈਮਪੇਗੌੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਏ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੇਲਜ਼ਮੈਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕੈਮਪੇਗੌੜਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੇਲਜ਼ਮੈਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਇੰਨੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਪੈਸਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਮ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਬੈਂਕ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ
ਇਸ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ 'ਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 7 ਰੋਲਸ ਰਾਇਸ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਖਰੀਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੂੜਾ ਚੁਕਵਾਇਆ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਲਸ ਰਾਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗਣੀ ਪਈ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ 100 ਸਾਲ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਮਲਾ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਤੁਮਕੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਚਿੱਕਾਸਾਂਦਰਾ ਹੁਬਲੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਮਨਪਾਲਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕੈਮਪੇਗੌੜਾ ਆਰਐਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਰ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸਤ ਵੀ ਸਨ।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਬੋਲੈਰੋ ਐਸ.ਯੂ.ਵੀ. ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ ਦੇ ਸੇਲਜ਼ ਐਗਜ਼ੀਕਿਊਟਿਵ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਧਾਰਨ ਜਿਹਾ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਟਾਈਮ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ 'ਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 7 ਰੋਲਸ ਰਾਇਸ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਖਰੀਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੂੜਾ ਚੁਕਵਾਇਆ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਲਸ ਰਾਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗਣੀ ਪਈ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ 100 ਸਾਲ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਮਲਾ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਤੁਮਕੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਚਿੱਕਾਸਾਂਦਰਾ ਹੁਬਲੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਮਨਪਾਲਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕੈਮਪੇਗੌੜਾ ਆਰਐਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਰ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸਤ ਵੀ ਸਨ।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਬੋਲੈਰੋ ਐਸ.ਯੂ.ਵੀ. ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ੋਅਰੂਮ ਦੇ ਸੇਲਜ਼ ਐਗਜ਼ੀਕਿਊਟਿਵ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਧਾਰਨ ਜਿਹਾ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਟਾਈਮ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
