Palestinian independence organization Hamas has threatened to send Israeli soldiers back in black bags.

Israel says it has lost 18 soldiers since expanding its ground offensive in Gaza last Friday.

Addressing Israel, the spokesman of the armed wing of Hamas, Abu Ubaydah, said, "Your soldiers will return with black bags."

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. The attack killed more than 1,400 people in Israel. In addition, Hamas has taken more than two hundred people from Israel and taken them as hostages to Gaza.

Since October 7, Israel has been besieging Gaza and carrying out indiscriminate bombings. Israel is also conducting ground operations in Gaza. Over 9,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli attack on Gaza for 27 days.

Protection of Gaza civilians is critical: Blinken

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is visiting Israel, said that it is important to keep the residents of Gaza safe from the ongoing war in Palestine. At the same time, he said, Israel not only has the right to defend itself, but also has the obligation to defend itself.

Antony Blinken said these words after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog in Tel Aviv on Friday. This is the US secretary of state's second visit to Israel since the war was sparked by an unprecedented attack by Gaza's ruling group Hamas.

Anthony Blinken also said, The protection of civilians who have been caught up in the war due to attacks by Hamas is extremely important. All that needs to be done to protect civilians and those who need urgent (relief) assistance should be made available. Because they are in no way responsible for the incident of October 7 (Hamas attack in Israel).

Anthony Blinken also said, in this case, Israel not only has the right to defend itself, but also the obligation to defend itself. This will ensure that October 7 never happens again.

"We will discuss (with Israeli leaders) concrete steps that can or should be taken to protect the women, men and children of Gaza," Anthony Blinken told reporters in the US ahead of his trip to Israel.
