Israel said that visas will not be issued to UN representatives. Tel Aviv has threatened to cancel the visas of all the officials and representatives of the organization due to the statement made by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in favor of the operation of the Palestinian independence organization Hamas against them.
On Tuesday (October 24), Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, told Army Radio, "We will refuse visas to UN representatives because of the Secretary-General's comments."
He also said,
We have already denied a visa to UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths.
Erdan said the UN Secretary General wanted to talk to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu twice since October 7, but Netanyahu refused to talk to him.
Earlier, Antonio Guterres called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He also commented that Palestinians are being "collectively punished" by the attack and blockade, which is a clear violation of international human rights law.
The UN Secretary General said that the Palestinian independence group Hamas did not attack Israel without reason. Hamas has carried out this attack because of the occupation of Israel for the last 56 years.
Addressing the Security Council, Guterres said that just as the complaints of the Palestinians cannot justify the attack by Hamas, the attack on the Palestinians cannot be justified for the attack by Hamas.
"At such a critical moment it is very important to be clear about the fundamental principles of respect and protection of civilians," he added.
After that, Israel responded angrily. They demanded the immediate resignation of the UN Secretary General. Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Jordan, raised this demand on behalf of the country.

Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is an organization of liberating 'Mujahideen', who are fighting to protect their land and people.
He also said he was canceling plans to visit Israel because of the "inhumane" war in Gaza. Erdoğan said, we had plans to visit Israel. But it's cancelled, we won't go.
Since October 7, more than 5,700 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, including more than 2,000 children.
