The Israeli Attack on Palestine:
On April, 4,2023, Israeli police attacked many Muslim worshipers in Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque before dawn on Wednesday, many people who witnessed all this said: Seven Palestinians got wounds from rubber bullets and beatings in the fight with Israeli police at the al-Aqsa Mosque. Also that the Israeli forces were preventing Palestine medics from reaching the mosque. From this incident, many protests started across the occupied West Bank. The Israeli military claimed that they were responding to the nine rockets that were fired from Gaza (Palestine) toward Israel after sirens blared in southern towns. There has been much Israeli violence in the past yet they are not stopping their act of attacking Jerusalem and occupied West Bank. There has been this concern that tensions could escalate this month, as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan coincides with Judaism’s Passover and Christian Easter. Israeli police stated in a statement that they were forced to enter the compound after some masked agitators locked themselves inside the mosque with fireworks, sticks, and stones. and“When the police entered, the agitators throwing stones at them, and fireworks were fired from inside the mosque by them,” they also stated that a police officer was wounded in the leg. Violence at the al-Aqsa Mosque had been set off violence in recent years. Palestinian groups claimed Israel’s attacks on worshippers as a crime. “We warn the occupation against crossing red lines at holy sites, which will lead to a big explosion,” said Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Jordan and Egypt, both involved in recent US-backed efforts to de-escalate tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, issued separate statements condemning the incident. Videos circulating on social media, which Reuters could not immediately verify, showed fireworks going off and police beating people inside the.
Recent attacks on Palestine:
There have been several recent events that have affected Palestine and the Palestinian people. Here are some of the notable ones:
1. In May 2021, there was a major escalation of violence between Israel and Hamas, the militant group that governs the Gaza Strip. The conflict began after weeks of unrest in Jerusalem over the potential eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. Hamas began firing rockets into Israel, which responded with airstrikes on Gaza. The fighting continued for 11 days, resulting in the deaths of over 250 people, the majority of whom were Palestinians.
2. In March 2021, Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli security forces in Jerusalem over the closure of a popular meeting spot near the Old City. The protests quickly turned violent, with Israeli police using tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowds. Over 100 people were injured in the clashes.
3. There has also been ongoing settlement expansion in the West Bank, which is seen as a major obstacle to any future peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel has continued to build settlements in the West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law.
4. The ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has been in place since 2007, has severely impacted the lives of Palestinians living in the territory. The blockade restricts the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza, making it difficult for residents to access necessities such as food, medicine, and fuel. It's important to note that the conflict in Palestine is complex and has deep historical and political roots
. The situation is often a topic of intense debate and discussion, and there are differing views on how to resolve the issues at play.
Israel should really stop this violence.
