why Islam spread rapidly?

The prophet Muhammad established Islam as a monotheistic religion in Arabia in the seventh century. With over 1.8 billion follower or about 24% of the world's population, it is the second-largest religion.

Mecca, specifically, is where Islam got its start in the Arabian Peninsula. In 570, Muhammad was born in Mecca. He belonged to the Quraish tribe, which was one of the most prominent and powerful in Mecca at the time. Muhammad was frequently asked to settle disputes among the people of Mecca because of his reputation for honesty and fairness.

When Muhammad was 40 years old, he began receiving revelations from God. The Quran, Islam's most sacred book, later recorded these revelations. Muhammad spread Islam's message of submission to God's will and attracted fewer followers.

However, the ruling elites in Mecca opposed and persecuted Muhammad and his followers because they perceived the message of Islam as a threat to their wealth and power. Muhammad and his followers left Mecca in 622 and settled in Medina, about 200 miles to the north of Mecca. The beginning of the Islamic calendar is marked by this occurrence, which is called the Hijri.

Muhammad and his followers established an Islam-centered community in Medina. Muhammad assumed leadership of Medina as a result of the community's success and expansion. In addition, he continued to receive revelations from God and spread Islam's message.

In 630, Muhammad and his followers finally went back to Mecca and conquered it. The majority of Arabia converted to Islam following the conquest of Mecca, and Islam's message began to spread beyond the Arabian Peninsula.

The Islamic empire's rapid expansion made it easier for Islam to spread. The Muslim caliphs, who assumed leadership of the Islamic community following Muhammad's death, established the Islamic empire. The Islamic empire's expansion was aided by the first four caliphs or Rashid, or "Rightly Guided" caliphs.

Within a century of Muhammad's death, the Islamic empire had expanded rapidly, reaching from Spain in the west to India in the east. People of various religions and ethnicities were permitted to live under the rule of the Islamic empire as long as they paid taxes and did not attempt to overthrow the government. The empire was diverse and tolerant.

Islam had a big effect on how civilization developed. Many of the ancient world's scientific and mathematical discoveries were preserved and built upon during the Islamic empire's center of learning.

Because the Islamic empire was home to a thriving culture of literature, architecture, and the arts, Islam also had a significant impact on the arts. The Islamic empire was also a major center of trade, making it easier for the East and West to trade goods and ideas.

Islam continues to be a major religion in the modern world, with a significant following in numerous regions. However, Islam has also been the subject of controversy and criticism, particularly in light of terrorism committed in its name.

It is essential to keep in mind that the vast majority of Muslims practice peace and oppose terrorism and violence. The actions of a few individuals should not be used to stereotype or demonize the entire Muslim population; terrorism and violence have no place in Islam.

Islam is a religion with a long history and widespread practice that still has a significant influence on the world today.
